one thing is certain, Supes needs to exist in Batman's world, and not the other way around. The contrast of the boy scout in Gotham works better than Batman in Metropolis.

i'm willing to take another approach at this. a supes vs bats requires a prerequisite meeting between them, which i now believe can come as early as superman's 2nd film.

considering batman will have 2 full fledged movies out by that time, he'll be well established. even with the plot carry over, i think it can be pulled off. during the course of the film, superman decides that he is need of help. scene shows him on a rooftop with some light shining. voice from behind "That equipment is only used for emergencies". supes turns, batman is standing there, sort of cautious.

Or maybe Batman steps into that device that took away Supermans powers, only this time it restructures his DNA and he gets all of Supermans abilities. Maybe to combat a nemising foe. When all is said and done, blind with power and human weakness he doesn't want to give them up!!! So he kicks old Sup in the jimmy!!!!! Rendering him powerless with a high pitched voice..... LOL

Batman would use his verbal wit to cripple Superman's wee little emotional heart.
