My comedy predictions are identical to yours, heh.

For Comedy Writing I have Arrested Development and for Directing I have Weeds.

For drama, I have:

Grey's Anatomy
Denis Leary
Frances Conroy
Gregory Itzin
Candice Bergen
Writing and Directing: 6FU (Overly optimistic maybe...I think directing is almost a lock, hopefully)

Seeing as how Six Feet Under won an award or two at the Creative Arts Emmys, I think they'll give a win to Frances Conroy, but not Peter Krause. It's too much competition for Krause to pull off a last-minute win.

I don't think the Emmys will honor Arrested Development for its last year. I just don't. I think it's between The Office and Scrubs.

I'm not worried about Arrested winning best comedy. Scrubs and The Office are long shots. Especially Scrubs. But even more than best comedy, I want Arnett to win.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Scrubs won with their only nomination?

I want to see Arrested Development win (for a fantastic third season, but mostly as a shot at Fox), but how awesome is it that it's a three-way race between AD, Scrubs, and The Office?

Very, I say.

As for Conroy, I think she has a shot (her scenes in her submitted episode are some of the show's most moving), but like the show, it just didn't end up with a lot of momentum. They did get those writing/directing noms, though, so I don't know. Could be possible.

It would be quite awesome. Indeed.

You know what would SUCK, though?

If somehow The Office, Scrubs, AD, and Curb all split the vote, and the win went to...

Two and a Half Men.

Ugh. The series snub still pisses me off. Had they went with a top 15 prelist like the acting categories instead of a top 10, I
m sure 6FU would have made it. They had to have been just outside the top 10.

I would die if Kiefer (!), Gregory Itzin and Jean Smart won.

On the other hand, though, I'm kind of rooting for the Grey's Anatomy women in Supporting Actress too.

And as much as I'd finally like to see it take home a Best Drama win, Grey's Anatomy had a note-perfect season that I'm not sure it will duplicate in future years, while 24 is always amazing.

Hopefully everything I want to win, wins, and hopefully all who I want to lose, loses.

Im only watching it because of Conan, though.

I doubt it will help, but whatever.

No, it won't help, but it might get people to shut up about how "funny" Lauren Graham is.

I wouldn't mind if Grey's Anatomy won a lot. While I'm not a big fan of it, I do respect the work and effort they put into the show, if that makes any sense. And it undeniably has a certain style.

Rooting for:
House
Carell
The Office
Jaime Pressley
Itzen
Sandra Oh
Grey's Anatomy

Rooting against:
Scrubs
Arrested Development
West Wing

No matter who wins this will go down as one bizarre year from the out of step nominations. No Laurie? Henry Ian Cusick? Rainn Wilson? Bizarre.

I don't see him in Supporting Actor drama. I feel certain the voting method will change this year, I've read there's been a lot of negative feedback to this crop of nominations.

Ah, yes. Not supporting actor, but he was nominated as guest in drama. Thought I saw him somewhere.

All I want is Kiefer winning Best Actor in a Drama Series. I haven't even seen the season yet but I'm soooo sure he deserves it, heh.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy
-Jeremy Piven, “Entourage”
-Will Arnett, “Arrested Development”
-Sean Hayes, “Will & Grace”
-Bryan Cranston, “Malcolm in the Middle”
-Jon Cryer, “Two and a Half Men”

Should Win: Hands down, Jeremy Piven. Will Arnett is a brilliant actor, who has created quite the character in GOB, and the same goes for Bryan Cranston’s Hal. But Ari Gold owns them all.

Will Win: Toss-up between the fresh Piven (Entourage only being in its second season for Emmy consideration) and the swan song of Hayes. My guess is the former will take an Emmy or two in the future, but the Emmys will give Will & Grace its Frasier-treatment, and reward Sean Hayes.

Supporting Actress, Comedy Series:
Cheryl Hines, "Curb Your Enthusiasm"
Alfre Woodard, "Desperate Housewives"
Jaime Pressly, "My Name Is Earl"
Elizabeth Perkins, "Weeds"
Megan Mullally, "Will & Grace"

Should Win: Jaime Pressly has become one of the very few people who I think stands very well next to the criminally un-nominated Jason Lee on-screen. Who knew she had it in her?

Will Win: Another “Will & Grace” swan song win for Megan Mullally. I really don’t think anyone else has much of a chance, besides maybe Pressly.

Supporting Actor, Drama Series:
William Shatner, "Boston Legal"
Oliver Platt, "Huff"
Michael Imperioli, "The Sopranos"
Gregory Itzin, "24"
Alan Alda, "The West Wing"

Should Win: A tough call. The “24” fan in me says Gregory Itzin had a fantastic year portraying an evil president. The “M*A*S*H” fan in me says Alan Alda does well with any role. I’ll go with Itzin, who broke the “24” acting curse, alongside Jean Smart.

Will Win: The Emmys aren’t typically known for being especially generous to swan song seasons, but since “The West Wing” has always been an Emmy favorite, I can’t imagine they won’t go with Alan Alda for the win, especially since I don’t think Alison Janney or Martin Sheen will win their leading awards.

Supporting Actress, Drama Series:
Candice Bergen, "Boston Legal"
Sandra Oh, "Grey's Anatomy"
Chandra Wilson, "Grey's Anatomy"
Blythe Danner, "Huff"
Jean Smart, "24"

Should Win: Another easy choice for me. Jean Smart and Gregory Itzin breathed a whole new life into the First Lady and President roles on “24”.

Will Win: Not an easy choice. Candice Bergen and Jean Smart are both Emmy favorites. But, no one can deny the “Grey’s Anatomy” momentum machine that kicked into high gear this season. My official guess is Sandra Oh, after a Golden win at the Globes in January.

What do you see happening for Drama and Comedy series?

Actor, Comedy Series:
Larry David, "Curb Your Enthusiasm"
Kevin James, "The King of Queens"
Tony Shalhoub, "Monk"
Steve Carell, "The Office"
Charlie Sheen, "Two and a Half Men"

Should Win: Clearly, it’s Steve Carell, who has had a number of bad sitcom roles between The Daily Show and The Office. Now, if only the Emmys would recognize Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, and John Krasinski.

Will Win: This is one of those “Could be anyone” categories. The Emmys love going with the least obvious winner, and I won’t be surprised to see Kevin James win the Emmy. But, I think it’s going to be Steve Carell.

Actress, Comedy Series:
Lisa Kudrow, "The Comeback,"
Jane Kaczmarek, "Malcolm in the Middle,"
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, "The New Adventures of Old Christine,"
Stockard Channing, "Out of Practice,"
Debra Messing, "Will & Grace," NBC

Should Win: I’ve always liked Kaczmarek’s Lois. For the first three seasons of the show, I always thought Kaczmarek was a lock to win. After six seasons of being nominated, I think it’s time to reward her for the seventh and final season of “Malcolm…”.

Will Win: All Emmy nominees. Only one of those five has yet to win the Emmy. I honestly think it’s Jane Kaczmarek’s year to win. I’ve been saying it for seven years. It has to be her time!

Actor, Drama Series:
Christopher Meloni, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,"
Denis Leary, "Rescue Me,"
Peter Krause, "Six Feet Under,"
Kiefer Sutherland, "24,"
Martin Sheen, "The West Wing," NBC

Should Win: Part of me feels Denis Leary deserves the Emmy for a tragically under-nominated TV series. Part of me feels this is the year that Kiefer Sutherland is most deserving of an Emmy. Only one can get my support. I have to stick with my 24 love, and Kiefer.

Will Win: If only the race was that simple. The frontrunners are Denis Leary and Kiefer Sutherland. However, Martin Sheen has never won an Emmy. The West Wing’s swan song was far from well-received by audiences, but the Emmys had no issue with rewarding Kelsey Grammer for Frasier’s lowest rated season. Then, you have Peter Krause and the swan song season for Six Feet Under. If that weren’t enough, Christopher Meloni pulled off a shocking nomination. Was he nominated for a reason? Well, I’m going to predict the Emmy win will go to Mr. Denis Leary.

Actress, Drama Series:
Kyra Sedgwick, "The Closer,"
Geena Davis, "Commander in Chief,"
Mariska Hargitay, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,"
Frances Conroy, "Six Feet Under,"
Allison Janney, "The West Wing," NBC

Should Win: Frances Conroy, by default. I honestly don’t care who wins. Conroy is not my favorite 6FU character, but she is my favorite here.

Will Win: Umm… someone? I have no theories, so I’m just going to say… Mariska Hargitay.

Right here, Archie.

Comedy Series:
"Arrested Development,"
"Curb Your Enthusiasm,"
"The Office,"
"Scrubs,"
"Two and a Half Men,"

Should Win: Despite the final season of Arrested Development, I think The Office was far stronger in its sophomore season.

Will Win: I have to go with The Office. Only so many final seasons can win Emmys.

Drama Series:
"Grey's Anatomy,"
"House,"
"The Sopranos,"
"24,"
"The West Wing,"

Should Win: No-brainer for 24. I don’t need to explain.

Will Win: Again, if only it was so easy. I’m tired, I’m cranky, and I’m sick of explaining. I’m just going to predict Grey’s Anatomy.
