i do agree Harry Potter doesn't belong in the summer right now it doesn't look like it's going anywhere and Shrek has the best release date it doesn't have any reason to move.

there's like 6 potentially $300M movies here, that's beyond nuts. Pirates, Shrek, and Spidey's openings will all gurantee them a spot. OOtP has a good chance if the 7th book is released, otherwise I doubt it. Rat looks far more appealing than Cars, so will open up at about $65-70M, very good chance it could get to 300, even with OOtP. Last, but not least, is His Dark Materials, which could pull a Narnia.

That's 6 $200M movies right there. I think either Bourne or Rush Hour will make it, but not both. Transformers probably won't, unless it's beyond amazing. Michael Bay's only $200M movie is Armageddon. Evan Almighty/Surf's Up both could have $180M+ grosses.

I dont think Dark Materials will get much more than $150m, there are alot of other fantasy films out in late 07 (Beowolf, Enchanted, The Water Horse, The Spiderwick Chronicles) and Transformers may make it though I cant see Rat getting much more than $200m.

However agree that only one of Rush or Bourne will make $200m. Both should get close to $180-190m though.

I just cant help feel that Shrek, Pirates and Spidey will hurt each other.

Either Shrek can move to December or Pirates can move to mid June or HP5 moves to November and Pirates takes its traditional July date. This would free up Memorial Day weekend for a couple of mid range films to move in.
