Only about a 30% drop for John Tucker, but I still think it won't have good legs. Its weekend IM was pretty sad.

According to some predictions, it should have been there four weeks ago.
Fantastic hold for John Tucker. Shack's comparison to A Cinderella Story looks more true each day.

Maybe even earlier than that.
Tucker did well, but I expect drops throughout the week and maybe a 30% increase on Friday, still leading to a 45-50% drop.
Still very good for The Devil Wears Prada. It will be at $112 million or so by Sunday.

Decent numbers, it will be a close week between Pirates and Vice as the week goes on. It should be around 368 by the weeks end, lets hope it will finally level out on the weekdays.

Not great for Vice.
Pretty insane for Tucker. I guess it's confirmed now that Teen movie + Summer = Gigantic Saturday drop, soft as hell Monday one. How ridiculous.

Very good for Devil Wears Prada. Also I agree that potc 2 should be number 1 by Wed or Thurs. poor performance by Miami Vice.

Have you guys noticed that Clerks numbers are actually pretty decent for the week days? It only dropped 47%. 25-27 mill does seem possible.

Clerks II should make $27 million and end up as Smith's 3rd biggest behind Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Smith should make Dogma 2 as he promised. That one would certainly beclme his biggest film, maybe even passing $40 million, heh.

X-Men: The Last Stand should pass Cast Away on the all-time domestic chart next weekend. A total of $234-235 million is awesome for this film, albeit the legs were very short.
Click will finish with $135+ million, narrowly beating out Anger Management. Could have approached $140 million if not for Talladega Nights.
You, Me and Dupree will be at $67 million by the end of the weekend, passing the multiplier of 3 after just four weekends. Not bad.

Miami Vice is only $600,000 ahead of John Tucker.
Despite opening to $12,000,000 more.
Embarrassing.

I think people give this film too much of a break, I think 235m is good, not great. They went too high with the budget. This isnt as successful/profitable as X2 or the first X-Men for that matter.

John Tucker will pass $45M. And depending on this weekends drop, could have a small shot at $50M.

I usually am speaking in terms of absolute, not relative success. This is the highest-grossing comic book movie ever besides the first Batman and Spider-Man films. A $235 million gross is great for a movie of any budget, I doubt the studio expected any more.
Worldwide, it'll make over $460 million.

If thats the way we look at it, then Superman Returns getting close to 200m is great. Who cares about the budget.
If studios didn expect much more then why the hell would you give the film a 210m budget? Just to expect it to go 20m over the budget domestically? Thats kinda off imo. With a budget like that you should be expecting Spider-Man numbers.

Superman did decent money. If it made $235 million, I'd call it good.
Only that X3 cost $50 million less than Superman, will make $40 million more in the US and the same as Superman overseas. Do you in your right mind honestly believe the studio at any point expected the film to make $300 million?
