I say 13 millin because if its making 2.6 and increases 40% we'll be by 3.7 for Friday, Increase another 30% to about 4.8, then another 3.7. Sunday is always higher if not the same as Friday. So that would be around 12.5 give or take. I think 11 million range is too low at this point. The only reason it increased under 30% last week was because of Pirates.

i think your over estimating the saturday rise, but also underestimating the friday rise.

Pirates continues to amaze every day. That is a great hold % wise. It will get the 7 day record tomorrow and will at a very minimum get around 63 mil this weekend. I still think this weekend can end up with over 70 mil easy.

Big Blockbusters are more fronloaded than before. People Flock to see them opening weekend and early in the week so the numbers decline each day and than increase at the end of the week going into the weekend.

I don't know if anyone has noticed but aside from films that had opening days in the week, and films that carried over their opening weekends into a holiday week, DMC has had the highest daily totals otherwise. Its drops have been excellent considering this. I wouldn't be surprised, no, I'd bet that this gets the 3rd highest 2nd weekend total and has a very good shot at taking the crown.

The females must really be scrambling for their chick flicks.

I mean, Devil Wears Prada is good, but it's not that good.

This is going to have 260 by Sunday. That is just sick. A miracle is what it will take to keep it out of the 400 mill club now.

260 million by sunday and over 320 million by the sunday afterwards!! NUTS!!

The question can it make 80 million after its 3rd weekend. Its dosen't really look that hard actually. Well this film is going 380 million for sure. Some argue it's grossing near Rots numbers so it can't get higher. However Pirates will have much stronger weekdays and Rots did fall over 55% in its 3rd weekend, so i think pirates can match its total.

It will likely get over taken by Shrek 2 after its 4th weekend.

325 million

30 million daily, 35 million weekend.

I assume Dailies fall 50% from the week before, or is it much different in the Summer?

Here's a cool tidbit:

Johnny Depp has TWO movies in the top twenty on weekdays:

PotC: DMC and Deep Sea 3D.

Go Johnny!

well i know pirates will get massive weekdays. Most people were not seeing that when they were perdicting under 350 million. Now because of these huge weekdays it will get ahead of Spiderman 2, Rotk and Rots and has a good chane at spiderman.

Cars keeps on chugging along!

If it can keep it's weekend and weekday drops below 25% for the rest of the summer, it could hit 250+ million. Unfortunatley, the one thing that will prevent it is it's massive loss of theatres which it should have over the next two weekends with all these movies opening... it's too bad...

Well that, and three straight weeks of CG animated films...that won't help Cars either.

Yeah Monster House opening will hurt it. It should still get to 240 and be # 2 movie of the summer, maybe the year if nothing else can pass it. And yeah I agree DMC will pass 400.

it needs to not fall 50% plus after its 2nd weekend. I had 398 million but due to MUCH larger then expected Weekdays it has a strong chance at it.
