I think Santa Clause 3 should move back a week or two and get itself closer to Thanksgiving/Christmas.

I think it should open on Wed. before Thanksgiving. No family films opening that time. If it opens the first week, it has Flushed Away to deal with on opening. If it opens the week after that, it has Happy Feet to hurt its legs afterwards and Flushed Away to hurt it.

I think with that Wed. release, the holiday boost would be enough to negate Happy Feet so it should do well.

FLUSHED AWAY if it's lucky will open along the lines of WALLACE & GROMIT. That title is HORRENDOUS. Additionally opening that early allows it to turn screens over for DEJA VU rather than having to fight for them.

HAPPY FEET is pretty much a lock to at least open twice as high as FLUSHED AWAY even if it isn't a gigantor smash.

January these days seems like a retread of previous January's - ie. a second Hostel and a second Are We there Yet? Seems like Zodiac is dumped in Jan - but thats still better than what we usually get.

They really need to open something big in January and break that 10 year record of Star Wars!!

Are We Done Yet (the Are We There Yet? sequel) opens in April 2007 not January 2007.

Killshot was pushed back a month to October 20, 2006.

Ah ok - for some reason i thought it was in January. March and April still need to be beefed up. February is so far the pick of the pre summer 07 months.

Meet the Robinsons and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles really need to move off the same date

Disney's CGI animated film "Tinker Bell" with the voice of Britney Murphy will be released in the fall (i suspect November) 2007.

Are you fucking kidding me?!?!?

For anyone who's seen the original, you know this has to be a joke. Like, seriously.

New dates:

Curtis Hanson's Lucky You (starring Eric Bana and Drew Barrymore) will open September 8.

Steven Soderbergh's drama The Good German (with George Clooney) has been bumped back 3 weeks from November 22 to December 8.

The Blood Diamond will open December 15.

Whew, I was already wondering what the hell The Blood Diamond was doing in January. Maybe another Oscar nom for DiCaprio?

I can't wait to see Lucky You (Hanson! Bana!)

So DiCaprio has a double feature at the end of this year - just like 2002. Great as he has been on a roll with good films of late.

Why do I get the feeling that they will manage to move this movie yet again a day or two before it opens? But, seriously, August 11 is a very good date. It has the weekend before Snakes on a Plane, and The Skeleton Key opened to over $16M on that date last year.

Glad Pulse is a little closer.

Moving Chainsaw to Wednesday is an awful idea, even if it's two more days away from The Grudge 2. I just don't see why you'd want to open a horror movie on Wednesday.

Well R rated college-age movies tend to have strong weekdays during the school year, so it's not that bad IMO.

A wednesday opening for TCM is just silly.

Sicko - Michael Moore's documentary is no longer due out in 2006, now its 2007.

Weren't all the Rocky films PG? I don't see why it'd suddenly change.
