AICN's Moriarty "sort of loved" the move.

(he was not so fond of the first, calls the second an improvement in every way)

Good, good, good, good, good. A lot of people here probably don't know that I was really looking forward to the first POTC's release. I loved the trailer and thought it'd be a great adventure film. I loved Depp's Sparrow and Rush's Barbossa, but the rest of the film lagged a bit for me, so I came away disappointed. If Dead Man's Chest lives up to what I wanted from TCotBP, I'll be incredibly happy.

Here's a cool article about the premiere:

http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post ... id=1207728

A great quote from it:

"The interest was intense: about 200 media outlets were set to come, compared with the usual 50 or 60 for a standard premiere."

Oh, and I dunno about trusting anything posted on IMDb. You never can tell who is or isn't legit over there...

Sounds EXCELLENT!

But maybe it'll mean the reverse for the majority which loved the first.

That's even longer than PotC1, and that already felt too long. :nonono:

Well, we know that there will be SOMETHING after the credits, but they've not given us any real hints as to exactly what it is.

Bigger opening weekend, about the same total gross? That's what I'm thinking, unless there's a sharp change in quality (whether it be a drop or increase) from the first one.

it appears that Joohnny Depp stole the show again.

Also POTC was on the main Canadian network CBC loved it, and also big ratings which are rare apart from a Hockey game,
