Proyas teases a potential Dark City sequel
"[...] while there'd never really been any talk of a sequel to the film, Proyas himself had this to say when asked about it recently on his official site: "DC was hardly a smash hit at the box office so it is unlikely, if a sequel was made, they'd give me a huge budget to work with. So don't worry too much about that! I am more and more interested in the idea of a sequel, and who knows, after the special edition comes out, with everyone's support behind it, a sequel…maybe who knows…but I've already said too much."

Knowing how many fans of the movie there are on these boards, I thought this bit of news could be interesting.

I know Im looking forward to it. Dark City was definately ahead of its time and Im for one glad that its cult status was able to push a possible sequel for the movie. Alex Proyas is an extremely underappreciated director when most people talk about Peter Jackson, Ridley Scott and David Fincher

Dark City doesnt feel like it should have a sequel. The ending doesnt really leave it open for one.

Really as it ended with the guy being all powerful, knowing waht happened and destroying those other guys.
Doesn't seem like a need for another > so please just move on to another project.

I dunno? Maybe it'd be a good thing for him - he certainly has had any non-Dark City success. He totally killed I, Robot. So, if the guy's keen, I say go for it...
