Ah yes, well, I knew that I named myself after La Dolce Vita, but apparently Archangel is so popular that there is a movie from 1990 that is named after him. That he only assumed that name recently is just some silly detail that we'll overlook for now.

Archangel...per te:

Its apparently by a director Guy Maddin who has a huge amount of films under his belt and is really quite big. I saw an entire "director's chair" dedicated to him at the movie rental place (right next to Egoyan, whom I was getting a movie from).

The plot outline from imdb reads: A surrealistic film in which a strangely assorted group of people come together in the Russian Arctic at the height of the revolution and World War One.

Sounds quite good actually. I'm going to check it out over break.

CONGRATULATIONS ARCHANGEL FOR BEING SO POPULAR!

Heh. I looked it up a little more and apparently its Canadian. That would explain why it was next to Egoyan I guess. I sometimes miss these very obvious things since my mind usually operates in its own realm, conveniantly located somewhere above Cloud 9.

Its apparently considered "Probably the best of Maddin's films." Not bad Archy...I guess the director really had to rise to the challenge if he was going to name one of his films after you. Otherwise it would border on blasphemy.
