No. Luhrmann is too much an of auteur to make a film that panders to every demographic the way a film would need to in order to have that kind of run.

I don't think so. That plot doesn't sound appealing enough. Driving cattle across the outback? It won't exactly draw them in.
It might do okay, but not great.

Moluin Rouge was pretty appealing to some guys even though it was a drama-musicial. I think with that plot, he can do it. What guys did Moulin Rouge appeal to? no, i mean like a huge pearl harbour esque movie set against it with planning,drafy, training. plus d day was more then just that one beach. tehere were the para troop droppings, ect.
if this was set in the us i could see 300 million but its not. its austraila, so ill give it a good shot at 200 million.
