A Halloween reimagining won't do much better than Halloween 8, at least initially. They're too closely connected release-wise.

Hmmm, five years inbetween and Halloween 8 was released in the freaking SUMMER.

Five years isn't very long. And I guarantee Halloween 9 will be released before October -- probably in August.

I really really doubt that. At least that'd be dumb on the studio's side. I am not saying it will be released right on Halloween, that was hypothetical. But I see an early October release.

Look at Dimension's track record.

Halloween 6: September 1995
Halloween H20: August 1998
Halloween 8: July 2002

Yeah, but I have a feeling that now that they are actually restarting the series, they will put it out around Halloween.

Well, O was the closest. Congrats!

KC was a bit later, but came closer...

I think this will open larger than expected. I'm expecting a gross over 10 mil so I'll go with 11.2.

Yeah, but I have a feeling that since the exact same people in charge of this film were in charge of the last three, it'll follow a similar pattern.

Wouldn't surprise me. For the longest time they were considering putting Resurrection out at Easter.

Thanks, I knew it would open huge and everyone I knew wanted to see this on 666, I wanted to go up to 12 but I thought it was a bit high, but close enough. ;)

Hey, well I said $11.4 m on the weekend, ie pre Yahoo reviews, etc. , and I think me and Flavor were some of the only ones who were arguing that the Tuesday record was very much in Omen's grasp. But yes, KC was closer on the final predictions. ;)
