 Sean Bean is The Hitcher!
"Sean Bean and Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill) will star in The Hitcher, Rogue Pictures' remake of the 1986 horror film being produced by Platinum Dunes, says The Hollywood Reporter. Veteran music video helmer Dave Meyers directs.
The script follows a young couple driving across the country who become prey for a serial killer, who blames all of his murders on the young man.
Bean will carve out the serial killer role made famous by Rutger Hauer in the original. Bush has been cast as the young woman while casting is imminent on the young man."

Now I imagined more like Mickey Rourke or Michael Madsen, but Bean is actually a great choice too. Now I am more interested for the remake.

Bean is a good choice. I might have gone with someone more diabolical like Rourke, but this is a fine choice.

I think Bean's a great choice.
Rourke would've too obviously been a villain. I could see myself stopping on a rainy night to help out Bean, the guy knows how to put on the charm. But if I saw Rourke's hulking frame and his disfigured face thumbing a ride on a dark and stormy night, I might be less inclined to pull over.

Nice, if it's anything like their track record (Texas Chainsaw, Amityville) then it should be fantastic.
