Two movies featuring Costner at his height but which one leaves you with the better impression?

These films had more in common then just the lead actor, they were both tales of a lawman struggling for justice against Chicago Mob Bosses/Dark Government forces.

Both had strong supporting casts with Sean Connery's grizzled old Cop and Garcia's young gun backing up Costner's pursuit of De Niro's slimy Capone, While in JFK the cloudy presense of Tommy Lee Jones Clay Shaw and Oldmans ghostly Oswald added heft to an already impressive movie.

Both films were guilty of bending the truth somewhat but you'll forgive that since both movies produce two of the best scenes ever shot, the railway station shootout in the Untouchables and the climactic courtroom scene in JFK as Costner fires off evidence as the vivid re-enactment of Dallas plays in front of you.

These movies showed there respective directors De Palma and Stone at the height of there powers, the bloathed mess the was Alexander and bland hell that was Mission to Mars years off.

I found it very tricky to chose which movie was my favourite and in the end I go for The Untouchables because call me soft but I like a movie where in the end the Bad Guy gets caught.

Whats your choice.

The Untouchables, easily. JFK was just too damn long.

The Untouchables is one of my all-time rewatchable films. I never get tired of it.

I went to see JFK when I was 13, Untouchables I didnt see until I was about 22 so maybe I need to see both again, but I'd give the edge to Untouchables.
