Yes, yesterday. That's how bad I think the trailer is.

But people at BOM are praising the crap out of the trailers. VGPOP and that Superman guy both said it was the best trailer they have seen in years, they also said every single fanboy agrees with them and that the POTC2 looked mediocre in comparison. Why would they make up stuff?

I think the Tropicana tie-ins make it a guaranteed $500+ million film this summer. I mean, like, everyone in the United States drinks Tropicana. Once they see Superman's picture on the side...BAM. Instant interest and pre-ordered tickets.

That's because the folks at BOM don't know any better and are in DENIAL.. It won't really sink in how bad this is gonna be until after the first 5 days when this movie underperforms HEAVILY.. You heard it here first and I've the thread dedicated to it's demise on the backburner getting ready to be posted when the movie comes out..

Oh, of course. Now I understand completely. Since it's affiliated with a diet soft drink, it's undeniable that it will gross less than $200 million. I mean, who else is going to do something as clever as a promo tie-in with food products? Certainly not MI3, or Da Vinci Code, or X-Men 3, or the biggets movie of the year, Pirates of the Carribean.

Is it Video of him actually speaking more than 1 word in the movie like the lame trailer presented??? WB is careful not to let any dialogue from this guy leak for fear of this movie not doing well, even though it's not gonna anyway..

I've shown half a dozen people the trailer. Before two said they HAD to see it becuase it was Superman, and the other four were moderately interested. After seeing the trailer, not one has any interest whatsoever in it. Is it a five day? I'm thinking 40 million three day, 65 million five day, and a total of 150 million.

Well, so much for the trailer blowing everyone away.

Anyway, I don't think it'll nearly as low as you're predicting MovieDude, but a T3 run would actually be a good comparision: A film franchise thats been dead for more then a decade returning on Fourth of July weekend. ZOf course, this one has wider appeal and a PG-13 rating, so a higher total will be at hand.

It's like I said a while ago - if the trailer is even somewhat similar to the teaser, it will not make as much as you guys (excel/Magnus/revolutions) expect.
