well let me suggest you DON'T EVER WANT TO RETURN

Ha thanks. I've been here for probably about 6-7 months now, and I know about the many former BOM-er's here, but thanks for your backstory, each one I've heard is pretty interesting. I think KJ will see me posting a lot more often now, seeing I can now dedicate most of my time browsing this forum alone...
Cheers!

glad to hear that, mr. french man. just FYI BOM never banned me but after all that has been going on at BOM, it just turned me to against Sean.

I don't think he can sue you. Buddha knows how many lawsuits would there be for trolling and spamming on thousands of boards.
Most he can do I think, is to contact your ISP...and if you're having good ISP, they'll do nothing.

BOM isn't really that bad. I mean, it is stupid how they have strict guidelines, but you get used to it. I visit both forums now, and they both appeal to me in different ways.

I never minded Sean when I was at BOM ... the only run in I had with him was due to all of you coming here. He got mad at me and found a reason to ban me.
I never really cared because I was never much of a poster at BOM anyways, more of a lurker. I prefered the-numbers forums to BOM.
The main reason I disliked BOM was those stupid text links and the force registration pop up. The text links drive me crazy and I hate that they are the newest internet marketing fad.

I completely agree! I hate text links. I'm always accidently clicking on them and stuff, it's annoying. I'm glad you do too, 'cause now I know I wont ever see them here on KJ in the future. Heh.
PEACE, Mike.

I never joined the Mojo forums as they seemed too slow to even bother. I was a member @ Joblo.com (Mike was also, I believe) but it's not a very friendly place and also became really slow towards the end.
I find that list of banned members and reasons interesting. Surprised such a list is kept.

Well, I'll be the less democratic one...Mojo sucks ass now and Sean is a fuckin retard. He is an egomaniacal douche bag and he loves to see his own words on teh site. He is power hungry and exerts that power to bad use. I was actually on a pm basis with him for quite sometime until he decided that he was king shit. I was never banned from mojo and currently have two accounts there. But I have no idea how to log into my baumer account and have no desire to. I have been back to irritate the users every once in a while but would never go back there even on a emi-permanent basis. KJ is so much forum friendly and I love what everyone has done here. I'm here for good and if I ever saw ean in person I'd love to spit in his face.

So, as a semi-update...
Tomorrow I could have my ban taken away by Sean if requested...I'm sticking with my decision from a couple days ago and simply won't send another e-mail, keeping me banned, but not cutting off all chances of being able to return if someday I choose to...I'd rather just stay at KJ for now (really can't stand some of the posters at BOM)

I'm surprise some of you like headcrush, Magnus and urself haven't come to KJ full-time. And I wish Prime can overcome Sean's sexual advamces to come post here.
And why hasn't Darth Indiana Potter Bond Nelson Mandela posted in here in a while? The conversations and threads here are far more fun and intellectual than some of those bias 'cunts' with Star Wars avartars.

Ah. The bannings. Really, I don't have much opinion on this except for to say there's always been a split between the main site and the forums (everywhere). If people who visit forums truly love the space their in, and feel like they are an integral part of the character of a site, than its a two way street. Admin tries to support the forum energy, but in return forumers should try to support admin's main site. I was incredibly surprisde when I learned that the two hundred or so really regular users here never go to the main site. It creates a disconnect between the site and the forums needs, and makes one more expendable than the other. To muc hastle from forums that don't add to the main site makes admin get short tempered with forums, as their support and income and continued thriving depends more on the main site.
I don't know about BOM. I liked it when I was there, and stay out of these discussions mostly because I had a good experience. But I do know that here I have my computer autoset to go to the main page first, and then manually go to the forums. That way the main site gets the unique hit every month. Plus I make it a point to browse a couple of the articles, and for some, even if I'm not interested, click on them for a second anyways just to get the views up. Then I go into the forums. I do this automatically everyday I come here. I always wished everyone else would. Even if they weren't interested, because the better the main site does, the better the forums do.
In general I think we have a good connection here, better than other places, because some of the most active forum members are also the main site workers and are always trying to bridge the two. I like how some forumers pm admin and have their "special events" put up on that scroller on the main site. Do a little work that way maintaining interest and nurturing a two way connection between site and forums. I like the people that read the b.o. analysis and reviews, even if just cause they're board. It makes both ends more connected to eachother.

French Man, did you request to be unbanned, or can you just post on BOM?

I sent an e-mail to Sean just expressing my displeasure with his decision, including an apology either way just to keep things calm between us. In response to that e-mail, Sean said he accepted my apology and in doing so would unban me if I specifically requested for him to do so on Tuesday. (I did not) Nevertheless, it seems he still intended on unbanning me either way, and yesterday as I logged on to make my derby predictions, I noticed I could actually LOOK in the forums (something you cannot do if you're logged in as a banned member)...I still havn't sent an e-mail to Sean about it, because I'm a little confused that I was unbanned without requesting, but it isn't really a bad thing so it isn't like I should complain either. I'll just leave it be I suppose...

A. He wants to send a message not to screw around to other posters but still wants to give me a break
B. Can't officially unban me unless I specifically ask for it
C. Just plain forgot to erase my name

That's what I said...it wasn't really the joke that he found a problem with it was the fact that it took him an hour to clean up...and the fact that I pretty much shit on him with new account
