South Park Season 10 Thread.
The tenth season one of the funniest shows on TV is here. And it starts on Wednesdays.
On this week's episode
"The triumphant homecoming of school chef Jerome McElroy. While Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman are thrilled to have their old friend back, they notice that something about Chef seems different. When Chef's strange behavior starts getting him in trouble, the boys pull out all stops to save him."
source: IMDB.
Looks like it will react the to Issac Hayes walking out incedent (after all, they can do an ep from script to completion in a week).

I will def be watching
I know it's old news... but at the end of the "Scientology" episode when Stan yelled "Sue Me!" and then they played the credits with everyones names being either Jane/John Smith was one of the funniest things I've ever seen

Im always looking forward to a new season of South Park but now im REALLY looking forward to the new season. All this talk should really give it a ratings boost aswell, people will be really interested on what they'll do.

Dark Horizons is reporting via TV Guide that Issac has not left the show and that the Scientology episode is now set to run.

Those are always the worst episodes.
I prefer the episodes that dont react to something that happened last week.

Au Contraire.
While the Elian Gonzales episode was kinda shitty, last year's "Best Friends Forever" was goddamn perfection.

I must say, a very classy goodbye. It was funny, and bashed Scientology even more, but the speech Stan gave at the end was very nice.

Hayes left South Park for Scientology
Chef left South Park for Super Adventure Friends
As Kyle said...
"We're all here today because Chef has been such an important part of our lives. A lot of us don't agree with the choices Chef has made in the past few days. Some of us feel hurt and confused that he seemed to turn his back on us. But we can't let the events of the last week take away the memories of how much Chef made us smile...So you see, we shouldn't be mad at Chef for leaving us. We should be mad at that fruity little club for scrambling his brains.". fuck you Scientology assholes

What a great start of the season. More controversy the better.

"What the... Impossible! I made them leave!"
Very funny in parts, and a touching little farewell speech at the end. I may actually watch the whole of this season now!

Did Hayes Really Quit?
So, pairing this with the Opie and Anthony clip where he admits to not having a problem with the episode (even if it's from back in December), I have to wonder if there's some sort of miscommunication on the matter. But, I can't understand how there couldn't be some sort of communication between Hayes and Trey and Matt. Although, I do recall hearing before that Hayes does his voice work elsewhere (like in another state), not in the South Park studio.
So, who knows? I'm interested in knowing the answer. The answer? Probably that Hayes quit over it. Didn't expect the backlash from the media and the SP people like Trey and Matt.

Last night's or Trapped in the Closet? I will be boycotting MI3 either way, but I'll gladly sign something to claim I'm doing it because they won't reair Trapped.

Last night's episode felt like it was written in 2 days.
Probably because it was!

On this weeks episode.
A disaster of epic proportions threatens the town and Stan is to blame in an all-new episode of “South Park†titled "Smug Alert!" premiering Wednesday, March 29 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.
Stan is the driving force who gets the citizens of South Park to buy hybrid cars. Just as everyone starts to feel really good about what they’re doing to help save the earth, scientists discover a stormy, dark mass accumulating over the town.

How does everyone feel about South Park's creator accussations that Hayes was a hypocrite because he was okay with religous satire until they did that episode on Scientology (which Hayes is apart of). I think he shouldnt have had to stay with something that made him uncomfortable of offended, but a still feel like he is choosing favorites in a way..

He doesn't have to stay if he doesn't want to, and nobody made him. But his actions are the very definition of hypocrite.
