BTW Upcoming episodes are:

2.17: Lockdown (Locke centric), 3/29/2006
2.18: Dave (Hurley centric), 4/5/2006

Then an episode called S.O.S. which is likely to be 2.19

There will apparently be a Bernard/Rose episode and a Libby episode in there somewhere.

Episode 2.23 is two hours (two parts?) and will air on 5/24/2006.

That means there's only two re-run weeks left in the season.

Do we believe Sun?

"Miracles" are not out of place on Lost island.

Nah, I'm not on that side. Sun is a lying whore, it ties in with everyone on the island being dirty and tainted in someway.

And that was one of the best endings to an episode ever, easily. The way they cut from his last words to the title screen was masterful. The guy playing Henry Gale is doing a good job with this part.

I definitely think Sun is lying, especially after the look she gave while hugging Jin. I think Sun was pregnant when she got on the plane, and it was her who had the pregnancy test in her bag. Everything she did in this episode gave that away. She's lying to Jin because she hasn't learned her lesson, and she doesn't want him to blow up again.

A good episode, you can tell it's just setting the stage for next week. "Five events will happen on the island" the preview said, so it looks to be a great one. It's Locke's flashback, which are always good.

The guy playing Henry Gale should get an Emmy nomination, he's superb. He's playing the part so well you can't tell if he's an other or not. I agree with Shack, the ending was dynamite - the way he slowly laid out the plans of what he could have done, without giving away if he did or not, was just great writing, IMO. And the way they cut from "Do you guys have any milk?" right to LOST.

I found this episode a lot more compelling than recent ones. I think the Henry plotline is far more interesting than any other stuff we've seen in the last few episodes (and by last few episodes, I mean all of those since, like, the third episode this season).

think it would have been better not to have shown the last flashback with the doctor.

would have kept up the mystery?

Yes. This was a great episode.

Sun/Jin episodes seem to be getting a bit dull because they have almost no relevance to the island and anyone else (yet!!)
But, it was really ingenious to incorporate the Henry Gale stuff and I agree, he is quite compelling. He is the same guy that played that psychopath seriel-killer on The Parctice a few years back causing that whole big Bobb-is-on-trial-for-conspiracy-to-murder thing. And that last scene was indeed, quite fantastic.

Now back to Sun. I was convinced she was lying too, but when you think about it... if she was actually lying what did she gain from telling Jin that he was incapable of having children?? She had nothing to gain and everything to lose once he finds out (assuming she's lying) so it makes me wonder and think she wasn't lying. Then again, that look when he was hugging her...

And I don't know anyone else's thoughts on this, but I doubt they'll actually make her have the baby. I see a miscarriage or something down the line. Then again a baby could put their storyline on the backburner for a good while and they won't have to do any serious plots involving them unless the baby would be (and this is inevitable if they do have the baby) linked to the island.

Hurley was hillarious with that awkward pause and then "SUN!!!"

charlie is such an ass and I keep liking Ana-Lucia more and more. Yes, like not hate. I've always liked her and I hope they don't kill her off.

Next week looks AMAZING.

Ana Lucia was used well. As long as she isn't that much in every episode, I didn't mind her here. I can sense they are aware she wasn't coming across right and took steps to make her act in a less obnoxious way and write her better lines.

The steam opens his pores, I don't know, just made me laugh.

Sun seems to be lying. But if she's not lying, well the whole miracle thing is bullshit so what happened? If she's not lying then somehow someone got her pregnant artificially. Remember when one of them said who takes a pregnancy test onto an airplane? That stood out, as did them prominently showing the name of the company that made it. Possibly details that might come in to play later.

Henry Gale is both telling the truth and an other, seems to me. I knew they'd find his balloon ever since he first told his story, the bit with the smiley face on it was such a blatant writing-device for the show to make them have a dramatic discovery later. They needed something about it that when they find it you'd know right off that it was his. But at the same time, he's obviously manipulating them, his name is b.s. (comes from an old movie) and he's sneaky in a suspcious way.

So my best guess is that he did crash but got assimilated into the Others group. His mind-games at the end didn't scare me much because how could he possibly have gotten word to his friends that he was sending people to that area? Like they just stand there in the clearing waiting to ambush people? Not likely. He's up to something though.

* On the ballon, just because they found one, doesn't mean it was his > If he was an other, he could have know it was there from someone else > Or just there as a staged act.

* On the pregancy, let say that Sun is telling the truth, she slept with no one and Jin can't produce, maybe it goes along to whatever is the mystery of the island. Why are they there.

And remember the Others were involved with the other pregancy, who knows if they have any involvement with this one.

Also on Sun looking at it a different way, was it ever told why she was going to America and also could she have had anything with that language tutor?

Michael Emerson actually won an Emmy for "The Practice," so it's possible he can get a nomination again. Maybe even a guest actor, depending on how many episodes he will be in. He's been in 3 so far, and I think the limit is six.

If it's not his, then the most likely scenario to me is that Gale found and killed a real balloonist or two on the island and that is how he knows about it.

They definitely wanted us to think she was having an affair with him. But we shouldn't jump to conclusions till we learn more, the way this show is.

Was that Desmond's voice at the end of next weeks preview saying "What have you done?". I think it was.

The last 5 mins of the show were by far the best with Henry Gale setting up a trap for the three of them. I really could care less about Sun/Jin. Next weeks episode looks great with the hatch going into meltdown. So are there going to be new episodes through the end now?

On Aoril 19th Alias will return with a 2 hour episode, so we won't have LOST that week.
Aside from that we're in store for just ONE more repeat episode. There are 9 weeks left in the season and there are 7 episodes left for the season, the last one being 2 hours, so techically it's 24 hours of episodes.

I THOUGHT he was that guy from The Practice.

I even remember his character's name: William Hinks. One of the creepiest TV characters ever...

I can't stand Sun/Jin episodes, and this was no different. I don't hate their characters, but the episodes drag down the show. On the flip side, everything involving Henry Gale was great. Even Ana Lucia is getting more tolerable.

I like how the writers added in the part were Ana Lucia was sad that no one likes her, and the part where Henry Gale wondered why they aren't curious about stuff. Just sounded like things the writers added that the fans are feeling. I'm sure I'm not alone on feeling that.

Sun did say that it was "the truth" that she didn't sleep with anyone else... but was it the WHOLE truth? Nope. Maybe she's lyin'.

Heh I love Sun, but in her episodes they tend to have too many sloooow shots of her gazing wistfully. :)

I agree, I thought the same thing when I heard it.

Or maybe it's an immaculate conception and they are going for a religious angle. I hope not.

Concerning the Ana-Lucia comments....

I agree that they are sort of tailoring her role now to the initial fan response. What struck me the most was her saying "I'm sorry for what I did." It almost felt like the writers were trying to tell us something

I hated that. It doesn't hold any water...who really dislikes her there? We saw how some lostaways greeted her in previous episodes, bringing fish, or something else to her. All smiles. And now no one likes her? Jack, Locke, Jin...not one of them dislike her. Sayid could be the only one, but that quickly changed...he's an idiot anyway. So sure Gale is other, yet has to be more sure in this new episode.

Bleh.

Decent episode. I don't think Sun is lying "per sé". She is just not telling the "whole truth", I suppose.

Ana-Lucia was quite good in this episode.

Henry Gale was the highlight. The final 3-4 minutes made the episode to me.

Argh. I hate those. I think Yunjim Kim is great on the show. But any scene where she just stares in any way, especially when she stares as a helpless puppy, I hate that.

Well, exactly. That's why I can only assume it was directed at the fans who hate her on the show. But, to be honest, I've liked her more now that she's not acting like the star of the island. If they keep the character down a bit, quit giving her horrible lines, and if Rodriguez doesn't deliver horribly, she'll be fine.

I just figured they spent a bit of time talking about the WHOLE truth (especially since the episode is named "The Whole Truth"), and then she said she was telling "the truth", I figured it meant something. It could mean jack squat for all I know.

Excited about the first two, but I hope the third doesn't end up being similar to Jin and Sun.

Oops... probably gave it away for anyone who didn't want to be spoiled. Oh well, it's not a huge deal.

I don't know why these are spoilers

So, the last one on that list is getting an episode before Libby?
