Ok. Most of those are wrong. But some like the numbers for 16 Blocks, Block Party, and Aquamarine could be correct.

Ultraviolet at $3.4 million didn't do as big as some expected. Might not even make $9 million for the weekend.

Wow, what a weak Friday! 16 BLOCKS and BLOCK PARTY disappointed, though IMO ULTRAVIOLET and AQUAMARINE did surprisingly solid. But ULTRAVIOLET will surely make less than 9 Million for the weekend and AQUAMARINE will outgross it in the long run. I can't believe EIGHT BELOW dropped that much considering the competition was so weak.

A very very weak Friday. That essentially ends any chance at $100 m for either Eight Below and The Pink Panther. Also, Madea could drop 55% and still win the weekend.

I understand the weak openers, but Eight Below really tumbled, as did a bunch of other previously strong holdovers, and Ultraviolet, 16 Blocks, Block Party aren't direct competition, and Aquamarine shouldn't have done much to Eight Below. The market overall had a very, very weak Friday.

Lame. Ultraviolet should have stayed at $0.3 million.

I saw that number for Ultraviolet and was about to pull out the Hari Kari knife... I was long on all three of those on HSX.

Since most people feel it is an unexciting weekend, SBD is providing some comic relief.

My Projections:
16 Blocks - $11.6m
Madea's Family Reunion - $12m
Ultraviolet - $9.6m
Aquamarine - $7.3m
The Pink Panther - $7.2m
Eight Below - $10.8m
Date Movie - $5.6m
Curious George - $3.9m
Firewall - $4.2m
Dave Chapelle's Block Party - $8.3m
I should have known better than to predict $5m for Curious George. Date Movie and Block Party will kill my derby, too.

Hmmm. I think Madea will get a high increase today, and I guess it'll pull 13 million for the weekend. That's a big drop, but not too bad. Considering the 30 million opener, it'll be near 47.5 at the end of the weekend. It's going to outgross Diary in its first two weeks. Everything else is icing on the cake.
Anyone got news of the limited release ones? 11-20, etc?

They had the correct numbers for the new releases except UV.
They had Thursday numbers for the holdovers.

wow, 2 derbykiller weekends in a row. 2006 sure is making up for the easy January. I might be in the low 70's again, blech
Props to the people who kept the openers low, and for those who gave Aquamarine a chance
