I would agree with that 100%.

The "Honeymoon" is over. Lord of the Flies is coming soon.

Did anyone post that Locke was reading the famous short story An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge?

By the way, I don't believe Gale is an Other. I'm not 100% certain of that, I know he might be, but I don't think he is. He might be lying, his name sounds fake as others have said because of the Oz connection and he seemed to falter on a question about his wife dying. But if lying made you an other or even just evil in general, then all the main characters would be.

So you think, Archie! What is there though that implies he might not be! Well there's three things: 1) He mentioned what the top of his balloons looks like in a very specific way, which I bet they find out in the wilderness in a few weeks and recognize. 2) He mentioned how his wife died of a strange disease, I don't think an Other would be talking about how strange the island is and 3) They clearly want us to think he's an Other, which makes it more likely he's not. Remember the guy Ana Lucia put in the pit? He seemed like one too to most of us up until he wasn't one.

Yes, the Lostaways are "sliding back" to their old characterizations, but this is a good thing for them. Remember that Goodwin told Ana Lucia that the Others were taking all of the "good" people. I'm sure this idea will come into play, as the Lostaways eventually realize that the Others are not taking them because they have not redeemed themselves (perhaps the Others will directly tell them this). I think it would be a very cool direction for the show, because everyone would essentially be bad guys.

As for Henry Gale, some people on other forums were quick to point that if Henry Gale was an Other, he would have been on the island for more than the 4 months that he claimed to have been stranded. Sayid should have asked him a current events question that someone who had spent years away from civilization could not have answered; maybe something about the U.S. presidential election or the war in Iraq.

I'm pretty much convinced that Gale is an Other. That little look he gave Sayid as the door was closing at the end of the episode was all I needed in that moment.

The whole show, the writers have been kind of against giving any hints as to when the plane actually crashed. It's kind of assumed it was in September 2004, when the show started, but there's been few mentions of real life events, apart from the Gulf War.

There's a difference (maybe) between the time when the plane took off and it crashed :o

Sayid's stories seem to confirm the general date. And Hurley has the Damien Rice CD which was released in June 2003. :)

The other's do have a somewhat well-maintained boat.
Who's to say they aren't on the island by free will, they could have communications to the outside world for all we know.

Speaking of Claire, so I'm watching my new Lost season 1 dvd set and I notice that her first episode title Raised by Another, could also be read as Raised by An Other, and we all know how they love to do plays on words in the titles.

That's probably been said before on one of the "Takes it way too seriously" lost sites.

WOW! There wasn't ANY info saying Ethan was going to be back! He was one of my favorite characters, thought we'd seen no more of him. This episode's awesome so far.

Umm... nothing really. The first segment didn't have anything memorable, just Rosseau meeting Claire and telling her that the baby's rashes were the virus. I don't really remember the beginning, so it must not have been that important.

Okay. It sounded like she had a flashback at the beginning.

She did, but I think it was bits and pieces of the ones we saw later.

The only thing I didn't like about this episode was the inconsistency about what to do with Henry Gale. Jack was totally against holding him there until he and Locke miraculously swapped positions on the matter.

While Claire was explaining about Rosseau's daughter, Kate obviously remembered hearing the name Alex when she was captured.

Ethan + Claire = last thing I ever expected. They were going to cut her open!! Plus the nursery mobile song was "Catch a Falling Star", the one song Claire requested the adoption parents to know.

Ethan though was lying the whole time in my opinion. He was trying to pretend to be good, but the part about Charlie is what finally convinced me. Silly Dr. Ethan and his hanging techniques.

Damn it really sounds like that Stephen Lynch song, even when I replay it and do it in unison :(

(Highlight) Anyway here's my lost theory: I'm starting to think that the 'Others' aren't really the bad guys. Notice everyone they take are the characters considered innocent or who haven't been terrible/corrupted. Also note that almost all the people who are on the island are kind of evil or bad back in the real world. Also what that one guy said, "What am I supposed to tell him, makes me think there's a person orchestrating the whole island, maybe criminals and evil-doers get sent there to kill each other off or learn to change their ways, and Hurley got stuck there so they could steal the money to fund the whole project, I have a more drawn out explanation but I have an 8 am interview maybe tomorro.w

I noticed that too and agree. All in all it was very good and I get the sense they are consciously trying to get it back on track the last few episodes. Who knows why or how but if I had to speculate, maybe MI:3 wrapped shooting and Abrams is paying more attention?

It feels like these final 8 or 9 episodes are almost fully planned out now, so they can concentrate on each one even more to make them better. They also probably have a lot of information they want to pack in and plot lines to solve before the end of season two.

Am i the only one who noticed the importance of the stuff Kate found in the locker? Tattered clothes, gray hair, "Dharma theatrical glue"... coupled with the fact that we see a clean shaven M.C. Gainey a mere two weeks before he sports a full beard and kidnaps Walt, the Others are clearly faking their dirty, disheveled appearance. That means the Dharma initiative is still up and running. Sweet.
