Charlie's Angels
Charlie's AngelsQuote: Charlie's Angels is a 2000 American action comedy film directed by McG, starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu as three women working for a private investigation agency. The film is based on the television series of the same name from the late 1970s, which was adapted by screenwriters Ryan Rowe, Ed Solomon, and John August.
The film, co-produced by Tall Trees Productions and Flower Films, distributed by Columbia Pictures, co-stars Bill Murray as Bosley, with John Forsythe reprising his role from the original TV series as the unseen Charlie's voice. Tim Curry and Sam Rockwell also co-star.
The film was followed with the 2003 sequel, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. Great fun. B+

Dumb. Stupid. And fun. I also enjoyed the comic relief from Bill Murray.

I enjoyed it. It's just a ton of dumb fun and everyone seems to be in on the joke here. It never takes itself seriously, provides us with some cool action, nice humor, a great trio of lead actresses and an excellent Bill Murray. The fact that little in this film makes sense didn't bother me much.

Very fun movie that has plenty of action, babes, and well-done comedy. I enjoyed it so much when I watched it the first time that I immediately watched it again. A huge guilty pleasure of mine. Leagues better the mediocre sequel. B+

Re: Charlie's Angels
I really think what made the first one great was the closer feel to the series. Bill Murray had good chemistry with them and it blended well with the camp as well.

Even though I'm one of the few who enjoyed the sequel more, this is still a blast. I love all three of the leads. B+/A-

Re: Charlie's Angels
Haven't seen this in awhile, but loved it as a teenager and used to watch it all the time. It's true that hot girls kicking ass was a lot more rare back then, but the movie itself is just a ton of fun and has a fantastic cast.
A-
vs a C for the new one.
Also, while I'd normally take Ari over Beyonce; Independent Women owns Don't Call Me Angel so hard.

Re: Charlie's Angels
I think this is great. Wonderful, campy, sexy, funny, action-packed, visually cool entertainment. I think McG is seriously underrated as filmmaker. He is a perfect fit with some movies, like this. Also did a pretty great job with Terminator Salvation, despite the messy script.
8/10.
