I'm so confused. I was laughing too hard to cry about it's probable cancellation. I don't know how to feel.

Just noticed this was the 200th post in this thread. It's a shame there won't be too many more.

To reiterate:

I'm crying.
I don't cry.
This is so sad, like really, I have no use from my TV if this is over. And this thread is NOT dead, I will keep it alive, dont you worry.

Perhaps the greatest block of television in history. I have never ever laughed so hard in my life, from all the Suddam look-alikes in the bluth house to Lindsay trying to get some from Michael to George Michael getting to 2nd base with Maeby Pete Rose style :shades: to Announg finnaly getting his revenge against the Bluth Company to Lucille stealing the Queen Mary (I have barely scratched the surface!), please Showtime, ABC, HBO... ANYONE please don't let this show die. But if this truly is the end, they couldn't have done it more perfectly.

While I didn't think the first two episodes were near its best, the 2nd to last was freakin hillarious.

The very last episode was truly truly amazing. If it really was the end, I don't know if I can think of any show that has ended on as high a note as Arrested Development.

AD averaged a 2.0/3 last night. That's only a slight dip from it's usual ratings despite being dumped on Friday against the Olympics. Fox could see the light here and just keep it on Fridays, probably not gonna happen. I sure do hope Showtime picks it up. Thinking back, even though it had an edge of finality to it, the season did end with George. Sr escaping .. again. Just like S1 and S2.

Ya, it definitely could serve as a series finale, and although they just had so many things going in the last episode and tied up alot of loose ends, everything is still up in the air. I love the "On the Epilogue"

It's not in Showtime's hands anymore. They've claimed they'd take it haven't they?
It's in the creator's hands.

Just finished it. Among the best two-hour blocks of television I've ever seen.

I would love, love, love for Mitch Hurwitz to take it to Showtime, but if he doesn't want to...

I'm satisfied with how it ended on such a brilliant high note.

Just rewatched it... found lots of jokes that I had missed the first time around.

Ihavenoscar.com
"George Bush doesn't care about black puppets"
B. Grazer and R. Howard in Maebe's address book.
The Judge Reinhold headline in one of the newspapers

and many more that I've already forgotten. Looks like I'm gonna have to watch it again.

Am I reading into the dialogue too much or was there a joke about Tobias staying in the closet?

When Michael found that secret closet and Tobias came in... Michael was leaving and asked Tobias "So, you're gonna stay in here?"

I need to rewatch the last episode. There was just too many things in there.

Question though, since I didn't watch some of Season 3....

What happened to Gob and Steve Holt?

Yeah, too many great things to mention. I liked when George Michael came to Maeby with popcorn and said that they should watch "Veronica Mars", but it was "censored" with "Reference to off-network high school private eye drama censored by FOX". Fairly certain he said "Veronica Mars". Watched it a few times.

But yeah, pretty much everything else listed and plenty of other stuff that was great (Judge Reinhold, even though the TV version of "Clerks" did the same joke five years ago).

Steve eventually learned that Gob was his father (although that might have happened in season 2) bu Gob was initally reluctant to be a father and constantly hid whenever Steve was around. Eventually, Gob stopped hiding and tried to have some father-son quality time with Steve by operating a second banana stand directly across from the one Michael and George Michael were working at. I don't believe the Gob-Steve plotline was carried any further than that.

Just remembered some more "easter eggs": The part when Tobias talks about Hollywood's "lushly decorated sets"...and then proceeds to open a cupboard containing only a coffee cup.
The "Risky Business" related injuries.
"Baby Buster...from the videos"

That time, however, it was love that made him walk.

Oh, how I'll miss this show.

It was most certainly VM, and guess what else. George-Michael and Maeby (Michael and Alia) will be gust starring in two or one upcoming episodes of VM, the same episode!!!

Over the weekend, I watched Arrested Development with not one, not two, not three, but FOUR other fans of the show.

It was weird.

I'm so used to being the only one in the room. The only one laughing.

It was beautiful.

Now that you said that... I think it would be weird watching it with other fans. My brother watches it now also, but he likes anything I like, so... he doesn't count ;)
Other than that, I find I'm the only person I know in my family and social life that watches it, lol

A perfect example of the declining quality of Television....once a brilliant show comes along it is not adequetely promoted, then its put into a lousy time slot, and then is suprisingly cancelled.

it looks like Fox's only redeeming light is Family Guy.
