if that was indeed the final episode, atleast they went down swinging. That was definitely the funniest episode ever. I hope ABC or Showtime picks it up, a show of such brilliance can not stop now.

Great episode! I loved all the signs that they were hinted on who will pick up the show and how for people to tell your friends to watch.
I hope it's not the last episode.

The final two episodes air back-to-back next week.

The funny thing is that next week's episodes are only the tenth and eleventh of the season. The show has a 13 episode season, so there's still two more episodes that FOX has not aired.

So that was not the last episode? Good, because... I was about to cry.
HBO, Showtime, making the family more likable. Genius.

It wasn't the last episode filmed (Justine Bateman will appear in an episode), but its the last episode for a very long while...

Timely, yeah. I know.

I got my mom to start watching the show, and she usually doesn't take to shows like this. Now I'm trying to get her to watch "My Name is Earl" and "The Office".

Concrete Showtime news, for good and ill.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060120/tv_nm/arrested_dc_1
The key paragraph from that article:
While Greenblatt declined to get into the specifics of the negotiations, he noted that one crucial deal point hinged on the involvement of Mitch Hurwitz, creator and executive producer of "Arrested." Hurwitz has not decided whether he wants to continue working on the show given, as Greenblatt put it, the "emotional roller coaster" the series has been during its three-year run.
So Showtime wants it. They've offered 26 episodes. But we still might lose AD.
I said a while back that this whole situation reminded me of Sports Night's demise, and boy was I ever right. HBO offered Aaron Sorkin the chance to continue the show. He declined.

That's great.
And though I'm sure Hurwitz has his reasons for all the hesitation, but c'mon, dude. Pleease.

Does anyone remember him in Can't Buy Me Love? That was soooo long ago.

I read an article somewhere that Mitch had some personal issues to deal with this year too. I'm sure he'll make the right descision either way, I'd rather see him decide to end it and let it go out in a blaze of glory than have it be dragged on and on until its run into the ground.
Either way friday will be a night to remember. I've never seen Entertainment Weekly give something on TV an A+ besided the British the Office Christmas special (which was flawless)
