I really enjoyed the episode. I saw a clip of the black fog on "Regis and Kelly" today before I even saw the episode, so I was pretty much expecting it, but even before I came on here, I thought it was intriguing. Now that I know that the light flashing in the fog was part of Eko's flashback, I think it's pretty cool.

I did some calculations a while back, and I think there will only be four more repeats from now till the end. I just hope they don't use them all at once. People seem to hate that.

4 more repeats? That doesn't sound right.

Let's see, they have around 12 episode left and around 19 weeks left (assuming the last episode airs the same week the S1 finale aired).

So, that's like 7 repeats!
Actually that's not that bad. I'm sure we'll have the bulk of it in March and April. I actually hope moreso than not getting a big break that they don't do 1 episode every 2 weeks for like 6 weeks. That would suck!

Was last night's Episode 10? Well, if you go by a normal season, there would be just 12 left, but last year, ABC ordered 24 episodes. So... I dunno. Maybe they won't do that again this year. I was going by that.

My opinion on Lost.

It's not as interesting as I had hoped. Has it moments, but also has it's lulls.

I also don't like Jack, and there isn't another really good male character that I can get behind and support.

It's definitely not Boston Legal, but then again, what is? :1st:

i found this episode on the whole to be better than some of the previous ones.

though really. honestly. i dont care about people's back stories anymore. unless what andaroo said about the island triggering flashbacks in people, which would be an interesting, i would like people to just concentrate on the island. i know everything i WANT to know about these people now .... cept maybe how locke lost his leg movement.

My big problem are with the people who want it all to end quickly.

You know what happened when they revealed "who killed Laura Palmer"?

I thought it was a rop-notch episode. Really top-notch, up to the first season's quality. It was by far my favorite episode of the 2nd season and probably one of my overall 5-6 favorite Lost episodes. Eko is still my favorite character and that deservingly so.

that bothered me too.

i believe there are 2 monsters. one was mechanical.

You get me wrong.

It didn't bother me, it actually made me happy.

Up until now there hasn't really been definitive evidence of them being in the South Pacific at all. The plane obviously existed last season as does the Black Rock and the radio signal which has been going for 16 years.

The crash up until now was plausible, the other crashes were possible... we didn't know that the Nigerian plane took off from Nigeria before, but the distance between Nigeria and the island, for such a small plane is absolutely impossible, it's on the other side of the planet from where Flight 815 supposedly crashed.

So yeah, last night was full of answers, but more questions.

I believe there may be one monster, but we've only seen a "probe" not the full thing.

i see.

well it bothers me because i dont think the creators of the show realized what you said and just made the connection for the sake of making it. everything points at a mistake

You know the Nigerian plane took off from Nigeria, and that it eventually crashed on the island. But they didn't say that it was a single flight, it could have had several stops in between with refueling and doing other business in other countries. Seems like, similar to Kate and Jack's stories, they left a gap to fill in later.

Remember that the Olympics is coming in Feb., so they may show reruns during sweeps, who knows?

Stayed alive? Not likely. Stayed after dying? Who knows but it's possible. The criminal underworld isn't widely known for its healthcare plan and funeral arrangements.

I doubt it. If anything, they're going to want to air new episodes to compete with the Olympics. NBC's airing the Olympics, not ABC.

Exactly. I don't think anyone network is going to lie down for the Olympics, especially not ABC.

On repeats:

there are 35 full weeks during the regular season, but since Lost airs on Wednesday, tis gets an extra. So:

9 new episodes (before this week) + 6 repeats + 1 premption (Rose Bowl) = 16 weeks so far

16 weeks + 13 episodes (23 episodes were ordered last season, with the pilot and the finale both being 2 hours) = 29

So...we have 7 more repeats.

One possiblity is that they air nonstop to the end of sweeps (8 + 16 = 24 weeks), air a few repeats, air a random episode somewhere, air more repeats before May sweeps (24 + 7 repeats + 1 new episode = 32), and air the final four episodes during sweeps.

Or, they could air just one more episode, air two repeats (Like they did last year), air 4 episodes for sweeps (16 + 6 new episodes + 2 repeats = 24 weeks), air 5 repeats in a row, then return with the final 7 episodes.

I think they should go with the latter idea better, then next season air it nonstop, ala 24, or air it in two parts, like some cable shows.

New episode tonight! And next week, so there goes theory #2!

That's pretty funny, someone writing about Lost from the point of view of Dwight from The Office.
