Post Re: Broadcast Film Critics Awards - Tonight 8 PM EST
I'm throwing caution to the wind!

BEST PICTURE:
Capote

BEST ACTOR:
Philip Seymour Hoffman – “Capote”

BEST ACTRESS:
Reese Witherspoon – “Walk the Line”
(too bad Huffman should get it, but the movie refuses to expand past, like, one theatre)

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR:
Paul Giamatti – “Cinderella Man”

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:
Amy Adams – “Junebug”
Catherine Keener – “Capote” Tricky tricky. Its one of these three. I'm going with Keener.
Michelle Williams – “Brokeback Mountain”

BEST ACTING ENSEMBLE:
Good Night and Good Luck

BEST DIRECTOR:
Ang Lee – “Brokeback Mountain”

BEST WRITER:
Noah Baumbach – “The Squid and the Whale”

BEST ANIMATED FEATURE:
“Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit”

BEST YOUNG ACTOR:
Alex Etel – “Millions”

BEST YOUNG ACTRESS:
Q'Orianka Kilcher – “The New World” <-------Hell yes. If she loses this category, all hell will break loose.

BEST COMEDY MOVIE:
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

BEST FAMILY FILM (LIVE ACTION):
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

BEST PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION:
Into the West <--------Ah, small token for Spielberg?

BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM:
Cache
Kung Fu Hustle
Oldboy
Paradise Now
2046

(Toughie. I give it to 2046, but you never know where the race card will fall here. Cache is about French Middle and Upper class oppression of ethnic minorities, Paradise Now is about Palestinians. I'll be mad about Paradise, since I thought it wasn't very good. Cache will sneak in over 2046 if any movie does. Kung Fu Hustle, the best of the lot, will finish dead last).

BEST SOUNDTRACK:
Walk the Line
(Breakfast on Pluto should have been nominated)

BEST COMPOSER:
James Horner – “The New World” <------It was excellent

BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE:
Enron – The Smartest Guys in the Room
Grizzly Man
Mad Hot Ballroom
March of the Penguins
Murderball

Yikes. Grizzly will win as it has been doing, but Murderball could sneak in. I don't see the other ones coming close to those two, for different respective reasons.

Brendan Fraser *used* to be hot. He needs to get rid of that hair.

And stop hogging the microphone, considering you appeared in the movie for five minutes.

No surprise, and keep the BP suspense on. If GNAGL had won here, there would have been no contest.
