I love how shack says Alias sucks because its unrealistic yet he grades Lost so highly. As if THATS some sort of realism:D
The Best.
6 Scrubs [One of the best comedies ever remains consistently funny]
5 Little Britain [Hillarious]
4 Desperate Housewives [Okay so its getting a little less novel now. But its still great viewing]
3 Less Than Perfect [Constantly funny all the time.]
2. Lost [The gulf between this and the number one is reasonably considerable. But Lost is still just fantastic]
1. Alias [Season 5s openeer was fantastic, and the new plot twist has suddenly placed the stakes even higher. Alias is already pulling out all the stops in light of its season finale, and whilst one of the new characters is dull as paint - the rest of the shows strong points are all in overdrive. With the knowledge that this year will be its last, weve already had one shocking return of a cast member - and despite there being tough wraps around the finale weve been promised a jaw dropping end to the best television series ever]
The Worst
4. The O.C [Dear god its gone from bad to worse. Never been a fan of the show but now? Its just ridiculously terrible]
3. Rome [With so much money id have expected something more than a bloated porno with little to interest the viewer aside from foul language and ancient boobs]
2. American Idol - [Just trash]
1. The X Factor - [Worse than AI, its an utter insult to my intelligence. The only good thing about AI is that, from time to time it chooses worthy winners. Britains version has totally lost the entire plot and is not only painfully drawn out, but is incredibly tacky, painful to watch and devoid of any positive result whatsoever]

I wouldn't feel right making a 'worst' list, considering I don't stick with shows that I find crappy, but I will, however, do one of these:
Most Disappointing
Desperate Housewives
How I Met Your Mother
Boston Legal
Rome
Desperate Housewives was fun for me the first season but has gone so over-the-top that I just couldn't find it in myself to actually sit down and watch the episodes I'd recorded earlier this season.
I had high hopes for How I Met Your Mother, especially after all the Friends comparisons early on, but was pretty disappointed by it. Never know, though. Friends wasn't perfect in its first season either, so please, if this gets good, someone tell me.
I liked Boston Legal's first season, despite having some reservations, and I still think James Spader's Alan Shore is one of TV's best characters (and I really like Candice Bergen, too), but this one, like DH, has gone so completely over-the-top that it's just silly. Night terrors? NIGHT TERRORS?
And Rome, while nice to look at, just couldn't hold my attention at all. (I did hear it got good, though, so maybe I should have stuck it out.)

Also add 30 Days and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List to my 'best' list. Two of the best reality shows in recent memory for me.

Rome definately didnt get better Dkmuto. I honestly couldnt even watch the show with my family it was so explicit, and its actual arc was so unfocused that it seemed to just be a lavishly set excuse for erotica and the language was really un-necessary and definately detracted from the believability.
The show itself was epic indeed, but the acting and the story was just bleh.
I watched three episodes from various stages of the series and all were just poor.

First, an honorable mention must go to NEWSRADIO. It's been off the air since 1999, but my continued watching of the first season DVD ensures that it's still the best thing on TV, and probably the best show ever.
This list was almost impossible to make. Why? Because I had a hard time narrowing it down to just 10 shows? No. I had a hard time *finding* 10 shows. What happened, TV? You used to be so glorious. Now look at you. A shell of your former self. You disgust me.
10 SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS/SOUTH PARK- Yeah, why not. I'm a big fan of the show, loved the movie, and this far down the list I can't think of a single other show still in production worth watching.
9 THE SHIELD- I, due to an unfortunate scheduling quirk, missed the entire fourth season. I'll catch it any day now on DVD. I'm just going to give it the benefit of the doubt, assume season four was up to par, and include it on the list.
8 THE DAILY SHOW/THE COLBERT REPORT- DAILY SHOW needs no introduction, but I've been surprised with just how consistent COLBERT has become. The two of these make for a smashing hour of TV.
7 SCRUBS- It's hasn't aired since May, but we all know how good it is.
6 VERONICA MARS- I finally starting watching this season, and yes, it's as good as advertised. What a charming vixen that Kristen Bell is. Unfortunately, I haven't caught a new episode in Xenu knows how many weeks. Yeah, I fucked up.
5 LOST- Last year, the show pissed me off with its refusal to advance any fucking storylines. Everyone else screamed with happiness and approval. This year, with some exceptions, the show's continued refusal to ever move forward doesn't bother me. I'm just sucked in. Meanwhile, everyone singing the hosannas last year complains. I don't know.
4 CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM- It wasn't the show's best season, but it remains one of TV's few remaining havens of fun and laughter.
3 IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA - The show that gives me some hope for TV, Why? Well, it's hilarious and feels real in a way that few shows have ever managed. Unlikable characters living in a miserable place. Its surprise renewal by a merciful and unusually observant FX just makes me filled with optimism and glee.
2 DEADWOOD- The best drama on TV, while continuing to exist in the shadow of THE SOPRANOS, but is every bit as good. Ian McShane doesn't just deserve an Emmy; he should get a Nobel prize, or something.
1 ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT- The undisputed best show on TV. For another three weeks or so. And we wonder why TV stinks. We can't hold on to the good ones.
I won't bother with a worst list. It would consist of pretty much every other show on the big 4 networks. And STARVED.

Nice, love for the Report from yoshue.
Oh and Newsradio's third season is coming to DVD soon.
Even a weak season of "Curb your Enthusiasm" is better than most other shows. I thought it progressively got better all season.

I'll gladly call them cocksuckers. So, whenever I call someone a cocksucker, it's all out of love!

Top 3 would be Prison Break, Battlestar Galactica and Lost, didnt watch enough of the other good shows to say how good I think they are, Though I did like the couple of eps of Veronica Mars I watched.
