I thought Sunday's episode was pretty ridiculous.
Am I going to have to threaten to stop watching?
YES, I THINK I AM.

Do you watch Grey's Anatomy?
Heh, I think it's more compelling now than this.

I've only seen, like, 5 minutes of one episode.
And yes, it probably is more compelling than this. As of now on Housewives, I honestly don't care about anything that's going on.

Um, you need to watch Grey's Anatomy.
Seriously, I think that it's as good as ER was in its first few seasons right now.

I'm interested in it, but I'd be a bit far behind.
And I don't know how I could incorporate one more show into my schedule.
I WILL tune into the Super Bowl episode, though.

I see DK has resisted the charms of Dr. McDreamy.

Ack, my dog went crazy as Gabrielle was in the car with the man and pointing out how he has no door handle, window, etc. Then he said something to heard and sped away, but I missed it. What did he say?

I don't know, I still think the show is pretty darn good.
Glad to see Bree finally stood up to George, ick.

Thanks. I saw that part, I just worried I missed something important because it cut to commerical. But yeah, pretty silly what happened.
And I agree.. not liking the show at all this season.

What a wasted opportunity with the Applewhites. I started to think, that Betty's son was going to fall in love with Bree's daughter, and then Betty's other son, who they caged up, was going to do the same thing he did to Bree's daughter as he did before. But there they go, wasting an opportunity to shake Wisteria Lane. Of course, MIKE comes and saves the day. It of course HAD to be MIKE. And what was all that Susan father stuff about? They really are making some of this up as they go along, it was bad storyline for Susan, so I think we can Hatcher can take less blame, because this episode really was all about the writing that was bad for her. And Edie wasn't even there at all? Who's knows what's going on with her nowadays.
Lynette-She's hilarious, I thought it was entertaining what she did, and that the neighbor reacted as she did.
Bree - It's about time that Bree got to see the darker side of George. I think it's only going to get darker from here. I can see him going after Andrew down the road.
Gab. - Quite nicely done at the end with her and that other guy with the balloon (who I might say gave a great guest performance, he's in movies I think, I've seen him before).
Overall, decent episode. But I'm used to this being ABC's lesser show to Lost and Grey's Anatomy now...

The season isn't that bad. But a big let-down from Season 1.
there was twinkle in this episode and that was when Bree asked her ex to dance. It was a little light of classic Bree. I'm glad the George thing is on its way to the craphole.
The show feels empty. I'm frustrated that Gabrielle actually lost the baby.
Mrs. McClusky was great!

I didn't watch tonight.
And I'm thinking I won't start back up again either unless I hear it's gotten drastically better or something.

I think the problem this season has is just a lack of focus. What was its strong point last year and Lost's weak point has totally been reversed.
Desperaet Housewives was always originally a one season deal. The great characters and storylines were broiling in Marc Cherry's brain for years and he just spilled it out and gave what he had for the first season. It's obvious from the very drastic changes in Season 2 that they had NO idea what to do and had to start from scratch. Now that the creative control has lost its effect it's more of a challenge to keep the quality as highly focused as it was before.
Lost, though always a big picture in mind, spent the entire first season (well, maybe 3/4 of it) trying to find its niche. It emerged this season with a clear focus and peaking with creative energy.

I think the problem with this season is they busted up all the marriages basically.
Anyway I finally saw last sunday's one. The first full one I've seen this season, had just seen bits and pieces of this season up to now. The entire bit with Susan's mom and Bob Newhart and all that was a snoozer, those characters just bring the show to a screeching halt. As to the ending with what George did, obviously he's a psycho and should never have done those things, but I have to say what Bree did was pretty crappy. Being out on a date then spontaneously spending time and dancing with an ex flame? Assuming for a moment that George was sane and not a killer etc etc, he'd have been fully right to just walk out of there.

Well Lynette's marriage seems strong, and Susan's mom is getting married.. again. I think eventually Susan will end up with Mike. Carlos and Gabrielle are just temporarily apart, cuz of the jail thing. Mike took down Caleb too easily I thought though.

I don't think Lynette's marriage is all that strong. I think its strengths are not based on reliable long-term facyors/functions but the fact that they're both in this "struggle" of parenting!
Gabrielle and Carlos' marriage (pretty obviously) is going to stand the test of time. In the end, they will both probably be the most dynamic characters on the show; it's already showing!
Mike and Susan will undoubtedly end up together but man I hope they don't stretch that storyline.

I haven't watched in weeks. It's been a complete downer of a season thus far. I'm usually a huge fan of Bree and this year her character has gone down the drain. Everyone seems so bland. The wit and wonder behind the show is gone, only to be replaced by ridiculous plots that aren't the least bit cohesive. I'm giving tonight's episode a shot, but I'm definitely cautious.

So who bought it tonight? Did George get a stake through the heart or something?

So they pretty much finished up Bree's storyline this week, I wonder how they'll develop it to have material to be revealed in the Feb and May sweeps? Susan's story like always was filler, Edie made an appearance, so you know the producers are "trying," and Eva's story is by far the most interesting right now. I love the new cast addition!
