No, it's in case you go up to 100. If he expected to reach 999 he'd probably number out of 0000. Personally, I've never seen 100 movies from one year, that I know of, so even 000 seems a bit too much.

Well... I always go over 100.

I'm only up to... 35ish this year. That should change in the next few weeks. I got bored of 2005 movies.

I usually average about 120ish a year, but it usually takes me til mid-year the following year to see everything I want.

For example on...
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/yearly/cha ... 004&p=.htm

I've seen every movie except:

Meet the Fockers
Barbershop 2
Shall We Dance (seen about 1/3 of this)
Agent Cody Banks 2
Anacondas
Cellular
Exorcist: The Beginning

and here...

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/yearly/cha ... 004&p=.htm

I've seen everything except:

Mr. 3000
NASCAR
Yu-Gi-Oh!
Two Brothers
Seed of Chucky
Soul Plane
Dirty Dancing 2
Wicker Park
What the Fuck do we Know
Sleepover
Super Babies

so 150 minus about 18... 132 just for those two pages. *shrug*

I just realized that Goldie's comment was probably completely sarcastic and/or not serious. :O

Starting when, outta curiousity? I mean, you haven't seen 120/yr since 1930, have you?

Even with DVDs and stuff, I dont think there are 120 movies per year I'd wanna see...Usually see 50-60 in theaters and that's about all there is that interests me, except the small releases..but thats never more than 20 or 30..
Hm.

2005 was the exception, but I probably see only 20 movies in theaters a year. But Netflix in recent years has been great, as is OnDemand, before that I just rented a LOT and we've always had premium cable. You can catch a lot like that. I really don't know how it works out to tell you the truth... I wobble between 20-30 movies a month. It's been a little less lately because I was catching up with the 20ish hours of the Lost program. But for example Friday I watched the 2nd half of Bewitched, then Melinda and Melinda, and for shits and giggles stayed up and watched Mad Hot Ballroom.

Starting around 1996 I get to seeing 80+ (I don't have lists) and then around 2001 (when I was unemployed) I started watching nearly everything.

True. with netflix, hbo/cable, I could definitely see fitting 100+ movies a year in...but...

yknow...

yr gonna be hard pressed to get me to sit down and watch something like Van Helsing, or Ladder 49 or half of the first page you linked up there. I dunno...I guess with netflix I tend to rent older stuff, and while I do watch some stuff on cable (you got served, 50 first dates, along came polly, etc which i'd never have seen otherwise)...I dunno. just how it is, i guess.
