Good for Flightplan, it's taking the weekend for sure. Also good for Corpse Bride imo, it's just the hype from Burtonites ( or whatever ) and the reviews really got to peoples heads and thought the movie would be some huge 30m+ opener.

Flightplan looks like it's headed for a $24M weekend, Corpse Bride $19-20M. Very strong for September.
I'm not sure about that percentage drop for Just Like Heaven, but it seems like a solid hold.

FLIGHTPLAN did really well for itself. I guess this is really the year for airplanes. It didn't deserve to do better than RED EYE though, which was a thousand times superior. But I guess I'm sort of happy for it because I like the cast and this means more exposure for them. It should make around 25 Million for the weekend, but I wouldn't expect excellent legs. I'm predicting a finish around 60-65 Million.
CORPSE BRIDE also did great! It should easily be able to make 21-22 Million this weekend because it will do better on Saturday and Sunday. I'm very happy for it, for it deserves all the success it can get. I think it will have excellent legs as well, since word of mouth is solid so far.
JUST LIKE HEAVEN held really well considering it faced competition this weekend. I'm glad its having decent holds thus far. It should make around 9-10 Million for the weekend.
ROLL BOUNCE did really well and should finish the weekend with around 6-7 Million. I may rent this on DVD since reviews were really good.
Nothing else was really amazing this weekend. EMILY ROSE got hit kind of hard with the arrival of FLIGHTPLAN but will be able to do around 7-8 Million for the weekend. LORD OF WAR and CRY WOLF had mediocre holds. But 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN will be crossing 100 Million very soon

Great for Flightplan. I knew it couldn't possibly open to less than The Forgotten. Very good for Corpse Bride as well. I wish I would have stuck with my original prediction of $20 million, though. Roll Bounce did decent.
Haha. Shack was so wrong about both main openers this weekend.

Emily will have a good weekend of around 9million even with FP here. Just Like Heaven held well also. Role Bounce, did better than i expected.

I'm surprised. I thought that Corpse Bride would take the weekend.
Just more proof about Jodie's drawing ability.

I really thought that Corpse Bride would of had a chance to make 30 million since usually the combo of Burton & Depp usually means huge numbers(well at least 2/3 tries before CB). I too thought CB would of taken the weekend over Flight Plan. Theres really no doubt at all about Jodie Foster's drawing power and shes still drawing people at age 40 something

I'm very happy. I wanted Flightplan to open as great as possible, because I love Jodie Foster. I also wanted Corpse Bride to do well, and considering the weird look of the film, this has opened really well too. Even Roll Bounce, to my dismay, did well enough (Roll Bounce is the only bad one for my predictions; I hope the worst multiplier ever, lol. Or I hope BOM's Friday number for it is even lower.)
PEACE, Mike.

Brandon is going to have one heck of score.
Good numbers for both Flightplan and Corpse Bride. Roll Bounce did fine too with a $4000 PTA.

Just like heaven didnt hold that well; its drop is still going to be roughly 35-40%. With the lack of direct competition and the genre its not a smashing hold.
