Joey needs some Friends to guest star, because it's just not catching on. I just don't get the fascination with those CSI shows.

What's more shocking? That Everybody Hates Chris got those ratings? Or that from 8pm's Chris to 9:30's Cuts, the ratings went down about 66%?

You were such a big fan of Friends, so your dislike of Joey is surprising.

That's because Joey succckkssss. It's stale and repetitive. Joey was a great character in an ensemble cast, he's irritating in a lead role. I just also think it's good that the "little show that could"-type on a network like UPN can get higher ratings than a sitcom on NBC, which used to be dominant.

Yay. That's definitely going to make it the highest rated show on the Netlets. Very deserving too.

The problem with the Apprentice, at least to me, is that it never changes. It's the same show, season after season, with nothing fresh to it. Many people I know have gotten tired of it and just don't care anymore. Plus, the Apprentice: Martha Stewart, it may be a bit of Apprentice overload.
On another note, I'm disapointed in Survivor's ratings this season. I guess it had to start coming down eventually.

Yes, that is quite a little success story. I'm sure that Chris Rock's involvement helped, as well as the parody name of Everybody Loves Raymond, but that's got to be more than a little embarrassing for the Peacock network. I kinda agree with you about Joey, too.

Great sampling for "Criminal Minds" (A well-done show if I may say so). I wonder how it'll do opposite "Lost" next week?
How are those ratings for "The O.C." and "Reunion?" With CSI back in the mix it's difficult to interpret what would be considered good versus bad.

This should be the last season for Joey and The Apprentice if their mideaseason halfs/installment get even lower ratings than their fall '05 premieres!
CBS is actually down from last year.
To my surprise, Survivor dropped around 1-2 million viewers. The CSI premiere was down around 2 million from last year's. Vriminal Minds, however, had a spectacular debut (thank mostly to CSI lead in) but also was around 2 million short of last year's Without a Trace premiere!
ABC really needs to work on their Thursday schedule. Hopefully Alias won't bomb in its new timeslot and although I have no interest (whatsoever) in watching it, I'm hoping Nightstalker will be a modest hit considering (translating to ~9+ million viewers) its timeslot.
If Invasion hold above the 12-13 million margin and Commander In Chief turns out to be a hit, ABC will have had an amazing new Season start!

I did a ratings lowdownof my own on this again. Sorry with the KJ thing being half up and down its easier for me to do it there for a while.
Raffiki; your not watching Alias any more!?! I must just be a seriously dedicated tv viewer because once ive commited to a show; no matter how much it changes; i stick by it. Unless it gets horrendusly awful or the best thing about it dissappears.
A good idea would be having Garner wake up outside her apartment on fire and discovering that the past 2 years was all a dream and Evil Francie would be her new superival. That'd be awesome.
But of course no one would accept that and it would make season 3 and 4 a sham.
P.S - THE OC has slid nearly 20% from its premiere, which in turn was off 20% from last years premiere. In short the ratings aren't impressive...at all any more.
Theres room for Alias but the last two years has fueled this wary mixed reaction from all corners. Its introduced a wave of new Alias fans but some of the odlbies are deserting the show now.
I'll watch as always, even if i hate it.

Ummmmmm. Did I say something to make you think that?
I am undoubtedly watching Alias this season!
I can't wait. I'm just so surprised at the lack of promortion and the big buzz about Housewives/Lost makes me forget sometiems how much I want to see where they go with the show.
I completely agree with you. I don't think I can stop watching ALIAS now. Once I'm committed (and that usually translates to a dedicted season) then I'll stick with a show till the end.

I agree with your statement regarding The Apprentice. However, I remember it fell off quite a bit last season as well -- even with tons of buzz and anticipation. I suppose the problem could be a mix of "Apprentice overload" and NBC's overall decline in the ratings.
And in regards to Alias, I'd be surprised if it survives in its new slots. With the exception of Lost from last season, rarely has an hour-long drama been able to do well in an 8:00pm time slot...let alone on a Thursday night. Plus, Survivor and Chris will take some wind out of it in the 18-49 demo.

I LOVED Everybody Hates Chris (do we have a thread for it yet?). I liked it even more than My Name is Earl.
So yeah, pretty awesome (when was the last time UPN get numbers like that?).

Unfortunately ER is NBC most watched show, and they will keep it going for another couple of seasons. The show is very crap. ER ratings were down 40% in Oz this year.

Micheal-You made a good point about Thursday nights, its been said before, but its true. The OC/Reunion, Alias and Smallvile will have lackluster ratings, but because thats the highest Fox and ABC can hope to muster on Thursdays for a while, they'll survive. If the network cancelled them, whatever replaced them with would get like 4 million instead of 7-8 million. In that way Thursday nights might be the best slots for O.C. and Alias.

Yea, it wasn't that good. It feels like I know no one on the show, even though I do. It'll be sad to see Sherry leave again, and Laura Innes is nowhere to be seen. But, Linda Cardellini was excellent.
