Caught up on a lot of films. Saw Wedding Crashers and Batman Begins for the first time. Wedding Crashers was solid comedy entertainment. Totally enjoyable. Batman Begins was fairly solid, but disappointing. War of the Worlds sadly dropped down a notch. Did not hold up as well. Same with Star Wars. Still waiting for some truly great films here. Granted, I haven't seen Crash yet, or Cinderella Man, or any smaller films (like March of the Penguins), but other than that, mainstream films in general have been very disappointing. I am looking forward to a much better second half, with Harry Potter, Narnia, and King Kong all showing strong potential. I also can't wait to get to all of the smaller, and often times great films that are put in the second half of the year because of Oscar potential. Basically, I can see why the box office has slumped so far this year. Films in general have sucked.

Shutter was the scariest horror flick since The Ring. Disturbing. Not too impressed by The Devil's Rejects. Boogeyman wasn't half as bad as many say it is.
