Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
I've said this before but if they were gonna connect anything they should have made Brosnan the villain in Skyfall. Could you imagine the dynamic of being a forgotten agent if it was pierce, who still handle action. That would have been fucking nuts. Even bardem's gentleness towards M in the finale would have been more poignant.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
I think I prefer Brosnan's post-Bond career actually.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
In terms of the next James Bond, I suspect it will be a lower-profile (and younger) British or Irish actor rather than a frequently named option such as Elba or Hardy. A brooding type perhaps poached from television, a la The Tudors' Henry Cavill as Superman. Consider: Christian Cooke JJ Feild Luke Treadaway Aidan Turner

Let's go younger and stick Nicholas Hoult in it.

Thegun wrote: Brosnan had dantes peak and Thomas crown affair. Connery had plenty of hits while Bond. Going Bald and his accent being different than the character helped big time, I mean his hits on his own we're almost 15 years after diamonds are forever. But Craig will do ok afterwards. If he's smart he should be in the kingsmen sequel. Connery was huge in the 80s and 90s. Shame he turned down LOTR for LOEG.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
Not really though until Untouchables in 1987. His only hit between his bond films (Never Say Never again included) were smaller ensemble roles in Bridge to Far, Time Bandits, and Murder on the Orient Express. There's about 12-14 flops mixed in there. Some of them weren't that bad of films though.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
Meh choice. They just offered Craig a huge pay day a few days ago For 2 more. If he does one final one, which I think he will.could be another 3 years. Hopefully someone better comes along

It was originally reported by the Mirror so you can probably count him out.

I'd vote for:
1. Jason Statham 2. Michael Fassbender 3. Tom Hardy

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
Might not be a bad idea to transition between the next series, we go with a stand alone "Old James Bond story." I'd rather they keep trying new things than go back to the stale formula

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
I didn't buy it at first (still kinda don't) because the rumor started with The Sun which I'm not sure has ever got one James Bond prediction correct, but it is kind of interesting that reputable news sources are starting to pick up the story.
If he turns out to be the guy I'm surprised they went with someone this well known. He's not famous to general audiences, but he's been in things and he'll be more well known (for better or worse) once Kraven the Hunter comes out. I thought after Craig they'd stick with almost complete unknowns. He'd probably be at the same level of fame as Brosnan when he was cast. If all goes well he could have quite the run too at 33. On paper that's a 20 year run with 5 or 6 films depending on how fast EON wants to churns them out.
I like him and I trust Broccoli and Wilson even more. They know what they're doing. That's if any of this is even remotely true.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
Not convinced he's a #1 guy and if they go "rough/tumble" version it will seem like Craig's. Tough spot since they can't really go back to sex machine Bond yet which would be a good palate cleanser from Craig, I think they have to wait out the current environment a bit longer.

Johnson will be like a Dalton or Lazenby, a very short stint.

Anyone is better than ATJ. The dude pouts on the red carpet. Bond needs a real man. Not a poof.

He’s Prince Charles not 007.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
I’m not even sure we’ll get an announcement in 2025 based on what’s going on between Babs/Amazon.
As much as I’d miss it, I won’t hate it if we don’t see Bond for awhile if Amazon wants/plans to turn the franchise into Star Wars. That’d be a quick way to kill the franchise.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
I'm kinda surprised they haven't even attempted a spinoff yet. They set up a black woman 007, the Ana de Armas character, his wife and his daughter in NTTD.
Idris can still look 20 years younger than he is, but they are running out of time there and would only be able to use him for one or two films.
