Damn was this movie bleak. I can definitely see this not being for everybody, but I actually thought it was a fairly solid, gritty drug addiction drama even if it doesn't necessarily break any new ground and certain characters do feel a bit underdeveloped. Really solid performances from Imogen Poots and Alex Wolff though who just like his brother has been impressing me a lot more lately with his recent performances in films like this, Human Capital and Bad Education. Basically, anything outside of Jumanji and Hereditary is where this guy shines the most and I just hope he keeps getting those kinds of roles. Neve Campbell was also pretty damn good in the small amount of screen time she had as well.

As much as I liked the acting here, the second half of the movie gets off the rails for it to become meaningful. Alex Wolfe does great here but I didn't like Imogen Poots here. Good to see Neve Campbell here, she should be in more movies. The second half is too much and too less at the same time. There have been so many movies that have handled this topic much better in the past.
