The Invisible Man - $1.65m

Solid but rules out $30m. Hopefully gets close to $25m.

That actually seems really weak. Didn’t Grudge make around the same amount?

Grudge made $1.8M. I know this is more of a sci-fi MeToo thriller than a supernatural horror, but I don’t see where these good weekend multiplier predictions are coming from. I’d be surprised if it gets over $20M with that.

Get Out had 1.8m previews, Split had 2m.

Not saying this will hit those #s but reviews are great and audience on RT starts with over 90%. 20m shouldn't be a problem.

Anything over $20M should be considered a success for TM. I still think it has a chance of at least getting into the high 20's if strong WOM really spreads over the weekend.

Coronavirus will affects the B.O this weekend in the U.S,
For the first time people at my work this week were talking about how they are not going out to crowded places anytime soon, theatres will be affected.

Are you in California? I think it's too early to have a noticeable impact in the U.S. as a whole but I can certainly see it impacting some cities, such as San Diego.

The plummeting stock market says the US is already being affected. Paranoia, whether justified or not, is out there and it is strong.

Lol seriously, wtf was that supposed to mean? I didn't say anything about horror films being just for women.

He was talking about over 25 part. Thought previews would have teens young adults as well.

And I was in no way suggesting men don't attend/enjoy horror movies. Just stating this was noteworthy. I love horror movies and I will definitely be there this weekend.

I dunno, I hope you all are right cause the movie seems like it deserves a good opening (I’ll see it next week.)

With a 7m budget even a $15m opening would've been fine.

This is a fine preview number. There is still a good chance for this getting past $20m

Charlie at BOT said walk ups are great and its looking at 9-9.5m for true friday. That should be enough for 30m OW.

If Invisible Man crosses $30M with a $1.65M preview then it should cruise past $100M too.

Bernie doing well also could be the reason for stock market dropping

Horror films are typically mostly attended by women. Women also make the majority of movie-going decisions in general (due to date night being a large source of movie outings). There is ample research on this. Any box office aficionado should know.
