Re: Best of Decade: Whose Down?
Yes! Perhaps a brainstorm thread or just use this one to determine the categories?
We are well overdue one of these.

How about with people start with their top 10 box office stories of the year?

Re: Best of Box Office 2010s: Brainstorm Categories
I’m good with these categories.
I think we can split the over preforming/surprising and underperforming/disappointing categories as they do mean different things.

Re: Best of Box Office 2010s: Brainstorm Categories
Sorry I said year, meant Decade.
How about:
Comeback of the decade Unsung Hero (Someone like Woody Harrelson has become like the new SLJ) Fading Star Best Milestone (Could be like any random tidbit about anyone, make it interesting) Biggest Blunder

Ehh... I disagree. I could see Biggest Blunder as... Cats. Like, why tf would the studio pump $100+ mil into this obvious flop?

It wasn’t an obvious flop, the original musical was more successful than Les Miserables, I’m sure they expected a similar gross no problem.

Fair Yeah I think it doesn't have to be a film specific category as well. I mean it could be just as easily as an Oscar winner picking their next choice of film. I for one would consider why the hell they never made a 23 Jump Street, and the leaks of how they were suppose to be merging with Men In Black or Police Academy. Either way it would have outgrossed the latest MIB. Another one of note was how the industry handled The Interview, or All the Money in the World. Not saying they would have been big hits. I mean most people have already forgotten them. Maybe that is more for a perspective rather than box office though.

Re: Best of Box Office 2010s: Brainstorm Categories
I'm actually OK with Magnus'' original categories with perhaps a few tweaks as suggested in this thread.
Add in Biggest Blunder to Magnus' list and all done.

Re: Best of Box Office 2010s: FIRST BALLOTS DUE BY 2/3
How is the voting going on this?
Perhaps worth holding off for another week or two?

I agree there are too many things to vote on. This can wait for a week or two.
