Favorite film of 2012 - PART 2 (Awards or indie)
Since 2012 is especially deep I split it up into two parts. This vote is for awards driven films or smaller/indie films. Please check the mainstream thread before voting Other in case your film is on there

Really like this year. Life of Pi, Moonrise Kingdom, The Master, Django, Les Mis, Lincoln, SLP all deliver. I haven't seen it in a while but I responded to Pi the most at the time

I would've voted for Life of Pi if Magic Mike weren't an option.

From that list:
Zero Dark Thirty Silver Linings Playbook Django Unchained The Perks of Being a Wallflower Argo
Good year. Still plenty still to see.

Oh, I guess Lawless was included here. I did not expect it to be on either poll.
My top ten of 2012:
1. Lawless 2. Anna Karenina 3. Zero Dark Thirty 4. Cloud Atlas 5. Wuthering Heights 6. Not Fade Away 7. Rust and Bone 8. Prometheus 9. Ginger & Rosa 10. The Deep Blue Sea
_________________1. The Lost City of Z - 2. A Cure for Wellness - 3. Phantom Thread - 4. T2 Trainspotting - 5. Detroit - 6. Good Time - 7. The Beguiled - 8. The Florida Project - 9. Logan and 10. Molly's Game

I think 2012 might have been the weakest year of the decade.
At least I prefer the Awards/indie list more than the mainstream one.
Argo is the best here, but Silver Linings Playbook, Life of Pi and Zero Dark Thirty are all great too.

It's mainly there cause I knew it would get your vote

Re: Favorite film of 2012 - PART 2 (Awards or indie)
First time I'm not voting for "Other", because:
1. The Master <<< 2. Tabu 3. Moonrise Kingdom
Runners-up: The Act of Killing, Like Someone in Love, (Django Unchained)

Actually I forgot The Raid: Redemption was released in 2012. That might be my top choice.

I didn't include that because I wasn't sure if it was first released in 2011. Couldn't be assed to check.
