Re: Brittany Runs a Marathon
It's a little too long, but this is a genuinely sweet and funny crowdpleaser bolstered largely by a starmaking performance by Jillian Bell. She's absolutely wonderful here and the character gives her so much to play with. The last 15 minutes are rousing and provoked tears and spontaneous cheering from my audience at Sundance (no exaggeration), and I could see this being a word of mouth hit. It's very much that Apatow brand of laugh out loud humor with genuine heart. A-
This is Bell's Trainwreck - I'd be shocked if she wasn't fielded with offers after this launches.

Re: Brittany Runs a Marathon
I loved it. I found it very inspiring. So inspiring that I went out and bought a bunch of running clothes after. Jillian Bell is great. Hopefully she can get a Golden Globe nomination for this.
Wish it were doing better at the Box Office but I definitely feel like it will find an audience in the future.

Re: Brittany Runs a Marathon
So I finally caught upto it last night. The inspirational bits were great but the part where she grows up weren't handled well or maybe that's how it happened but could have been scripted a little better. Jillian Bell was great in this but I think she needed something more to display her skills. Still a great watch a definite recommend.
