So this is the latest poster in their campaign. Honestly, what the fuck is going on? I expected more from this team. It's just a still with an "S" slapped in the top corner. Load of shit.

It's just a character poster. They did one for all of the main characters in the film.

It's still awful. The film doesn't even need character posters. Nobody knows who the fuck these characters are.

I mean, it's a remake. So SOME PEOPLE know who the characters are. Movies do character posters all the time. Original movies do. With characters you've never heard of.

Why did they move up the date? The November one against The Grinch would have been much better. All the benefits from Halloween will be cancelled out by .. Halloween.

Probably for a few reasons. To get away from Overlord opening on the same weekend. To cash in a little bit from Halloween (the festival) in the event that Halloween (the film) blows its load early and isn't very good. Plus, isn't Suspiria meant to be one that general audiences will hate? So it's probably strategic to better place it alongside a horror holiday than in the middle of November.

The trailers for this have been so damn good and atmospheric. I really hope it delivers.

It's just a NY/LA release on the 26th of October. It's wide November 2nd. Should do great in its limited opening.

And should create the must-see buzz (or must-avoid) that they're hoping for.

I assume more must-see buzz being that it's NY/LA. This will definitely see a kinder response from audiences there. They probably should have opened mother! limited a weekend or two before going wide.
