80. The Weeknd - The Hills (Oct. 3rd-Nov. 7th 2015, 6 weeks)

I'm not really a big Weeknd guy but of his hits, this is probably the one I connect to the least

79. LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It (Jan 7-14 2012, 2 weeks)

This song is fun, I guess. But it feels like outside of when they say the title and the beat immediately after, the rest of the song is lacking. It's no I'm Too Sexy

78. Pitbull feat Ne-Yo, Afrojack, Nayer - Give Me Everything (July 9 2011, 1 week)

77. Taio Cruz feat. Ludacris - Break Your Heart (March 20 2010, 1 week)

These songs are catchy so a part of me thinks they should be ranked higher, but this is what I was referring to when I said the Usher song reminded me of some others. They're all hits in kind of this carbon empty way with the synths, the RNB singer and the rap verses in all too calculated a way. They sound good when you're listening to them but afterwards you don't care

76. Wiz Khalifa - Black and Yellow (Feb. 19 2011, 1 week)

75. Far East Movement feat. The Cataracs, Dev - Like a G6 (Oct 30-Nov 6 and Nov 27 2010, 3 weeks)

These songs have a good beat and are fun to sing along to, but have pretty empty lyrical content and aren't quite bangers enough otherwise to go out of my way to listen to them

74. Katy Perry - Dark Horse (Feb 8-Mar 1 2014, 4 weeks)

I could never get into this one, feels like a meh retread of some of her previous #1 hits

73. Maroon 5 - One More Night (Sept 29-Nov 24 2012, 9 weeks)

This song is fine, but Maroon 5 has never really found the heart they had at the start of their career with This Love and She Will Be Loved

72. Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk (Jan 17-Apr 18 2015, 14 weeks)

The Don't Believe Me Just Watch/trumpet bit is cool, but was a mammoth hit that I just never liked very much, but I don't really listen to the funk music it's inspired by either.

71. Justin Bieber - Sorry (Jan. 23-Feb. 6 2016, 3 weeks)

70. Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean? (Sept. 19 2015, 1 week)

These are some solid well produced efforts from the Biebs, but this list is starting to heat up and I'm not the biggest fan of his vocal style which limits them a bit

Uptown Funk is probably the overall #1 of the decade. That song is never going to go away. I agree with your placement of it though.

Black and Yellow was fun for that week.

Was wondering when LMfAO would show up.

Dark Horse is a solid track. It’s basic but still fun and Juicy J has a good verse.

74-70 are all enjoyable songs, best stretch so far.

(The real song isn't on youtube, so here is a cover)

69. Drake feat. WizKid, Kyla - One Dance (May 21, June 4-July 30 2016, 10 weeks)

I've learned to appreciate this song as pretty good, especially in light of some of his hits this year. But it has usual weak lyrics for Drake and in the real version his rapping and lack of emotion holds it back

68. Flo Rida - Whistle (Aug 25 and Sept 15 2012), 2 weeks

Fun #1 and the whistle beat idea is cool/catchy. The ceiling is only so high in a Flo Rida song though, the guy who once got beat in a rap battle by WWE wrestler Bo Dallas

67. Rihanna - S&M (April 30 2011, 1 week)

66. Rihanna - Diamonds (Dec. 1-Dec 15 2012, 3 weeks)

I originally had these lower as two of Rihanna's mid level #1s that kind of went in one ear and out the other for me when they came out, but after listening to them more they're both solid entries by her. S&M has a cool beat and lyrics that range from sexy ("Feels so good being bad") to trying to be but coming off goofy ("Sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me!"). Diamonds seems uniquely heartfelt for her #1s catalog and the shine bright like a diamond part works.

65. Katy Perry feat. Kanye West - E.T. (Apr. 9-23 and May 7-14 2011, 5 weeks)

The weakest of her Teenage Dream #1 streak to me, it's still a nice blockbuster of a pop song but it comes off a little impersonal to me instead of sexy, and in the remix Katy and Kanye feel like they're in different songs

This is getting hard, a lot of songs that feel like great songs until you remember there must have been a reason you've never went out of your way to listen to them

64. Rihanna - Only Girl in the World (Dec. 4-11 2010, 2 weeks)

The "only girl in the world" part is Ri Ri throwing it down, I guess holding it back is that the verses are not the most memorable

63. The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face (Aug 22, Sept 12, Sept 26 2015, 3 weeks)

A nice breakout single for the Weeknd, I do prefer the bridge to the chorus. Ultimately though after I posted this I listened to last Weeknd song not the list yet and it reinforced it's no contest which is my favorite

62. Bruno Mars - Locked Out of Heaven (Dec 22-Jan 26 2012, 6 weeks)

Like Can't My Feel Face it's a song I can't say anything wrong about and when you listen to the first 20 seconds you think "Oh yea this was an obvious big ass hit, why do I have this so low again" but nevertheless. It's just never been my thing

61. Bruno Mars - That's What I Like (May 13 2017, 1 week) (but felt like it was in the top 10 for a year)

A very nice little pop song and understandable radio friendly hit, but almost too radio friendly

Still not even close to done with either Rihanna or Bruno

60. Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling (May 28 2016, 1 week)

It's a great pop song that will probably never go away, but just a little too much cheese for me for to actually want to listen to it. The type of a song where I can picture a grandma dancing with a little kid at a wedding

Cant Stop The Feeling being so low is nonsense. Step it up Shack!

Shocked That's What I Like only held the top spot for a week. That song was inescapable, and I tried.

NSFW video that's somehow on youtube:

Spoiler: show

59. Robin Thicke feat. T.I., Pharrell - Blurred Lines (June 22-Sept 7 2013, 12 weeks) (I should've ranked this 69)

I remember not really getting at the time why this was such a transcendent hit, it's grown on me since and it's sued over beat is awesome, but I'm still just not in the corner of it really. The lyrics are morally questionable but when seeing them as joking around it's better. YOU THE HOTTEST BITCH IN THIS PLACE!

58. Eminem feat. Rihanna - The Monster (Dec. 21 2013-Jan. 11 2014, 4 weeks)

57. Ke$ha - We R Who We R (Nov 13 2010, 1 week)

This is pretty low for two artists I actually listen to, but I consider these both pretty middling singles by their standards, although great by most other artists. Honestly on the Monster Rihanna delivers but Eminem is the misfire, this could've been one of his most emotional songs but he just can't get to the place he could even a few years earlier on Love the Way You Lie or I Need a Doctor. We R Who We R is a solid reissue track but retreads some material for Kesh and there's like 15 more memorable songs than it on Animal/Cannibal for me

56. Rihanna - We Found Love (Nov 12-Dec 31 and Jan 21-14 2011), 10 weeks

One of Rihanna's most memorable 6 words, We Found Love is a memorable pop song with a touch of sadness. I'm not as crazy about Calvin Harris' work in this though

55. Adele - Hello (Nov 14-Jan 16 2015, 10 weeks)

I've never been the biggest fan of Hello and skip it a lot on her album. I like the in the verses but the chorus seems a little too much "Did you know Adele is a powerful singer? Here is some material!" I feel like the idea of calling out of the blue and saying hello again to an ex makes more sense quiet not shouted. With that said, it's all judged against Adele's excellent standards. For anyone else this is still a very good song
