Male pornstars are paid less than female pornstars. For heterosexual fucking, shouldn't they be paid equally?

They should, yes.

Why? If the female presence creates more downloads and the male could be easily substituted with no download reduction, wouldn't you say the female is the reason for the downloads and should get paid more?

LeBron sells more tickets than Mike Dunleavy, Jr. But they both play basketball and are qualified to do so. Why should Lebron get paid the same as Dunleavy?

I do enjoy how you're trying to find any argument for paying women or POC or LGBTQ people less money because... reasons?

I am for private companies or individuals paying whatever wage they want. If they decide to pay women or lgbtq less, then the market will make them pay because they will be artificially reducing the talent pool for making their business strong and other companies will attract more talent.

Also, I think "equal pay" is a fool's errand because people are different and not equal in all ways.

Yes. I discriminate against people with less talent when people with more talent are available.

I suppose you discriminated against the entire world population of men and women when you selected your GF/wife.

That is sick.

I'm for paying everyone equally if they are doing the same job at the same level. Can you really not understand that?

Because I don't see how you calculate 'the same job at the same level.". The "same level" is a HUGE copout on your part and leaves open the type of wage discrimination that I am in favor of.

LeBron is not at the same level as Dunleavy. Well they both play basketball professionally. At what point are they not at the "same level"? Now extrapolate that to 300M people in the United States where much less data is publicly available.

It's really not that hard. You keep bringing sports into this, which is the HIGHEST form of quality determines your pay. As an Underwriter, there are a few hundred of us in my position at my company. If we're all doing the exact same job at the start, we should all start at the same place. From there, your performance matters.

But that would bring us to a new level of discrimination, where in which women routinely don't get the same opportunity for advancement as men.

There is a wage gap. It's not 78% of what a man makes though.

Or is Forbes fake news?

Did you read that article? Did she cite ANY facts in there? No? Oh. Thanks for playing.

Yes, the .78cents stat is misleading. Because it takes into account that women are hired for lower paying jobs, because the jobs they do are "less deserving" of making more money. That's another huge part of the issue. Men value themselves more, thus they go after the higher paying jobs. Because society says that women are worth less.

Society doesn't say that. Assholes say that.

Men don't oppress women. Assholes do.

Whites don't oppress minorities. Assholes do.

Straight people don't oppress LGBT. Assholes do.

Christians don't oppress Muslims. Assholes do.

The wage gap is not the government, nor any particular group's fault.
If what you say is true, then you should spend your time encouraging women to pursue high paying jobs rather than whining about the wage gap.

A man and woman graduate State U with the same degree and the same academic record. Man starts job at 22 and works 50 hours per week until 30. Woman takes the same job at 22 and works 50 hours per week but then has two children and misses an aggregate year and now prefers a 40 hour per week schedule when she comes back and prefers not to travel. They are both now 30. Manager position comes up and only one can get it. Who should get it?

Does the person choosing know about the woman's personal life? Not that it necessarily matters, but it would help my choice.

Well they saw she was pregnant and took maternity leave. She is a good worker and nobody complains but she doesn't work the occasional weekend or agree to fly to Japan overnight to close a deal.

The man.

Other question:. What if she had no kids and worked the same hours as the man. She walked in one day and asked the manager for a raise and got it. Does the man now deserve a raise even though he never asked?

If he takes the initiative to ask, yes.

Good god fuck. If you can't see your hypocrisy, there's nothing I can do to force you. I respect you nonetheless.
