 Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2015-2016 Edition The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore has been cancelled by Comedy Central and will air its final episode Thursday.
Not a big surprise. I like Larry Wilmore but I don't think he made for the best host. He was always better as a correspondent. Same as if they gave a show to Lewis Black. I love Lewis Black, but a half hour every night may not work as well as the smaller, six minute segments.
And The Nightly Show was a fairly boring title compared to the original of Minority Report. I'm guessing now that the short-lived TV series Minority Report must have put a stop to them using the name.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2015-2016 Edition Some shit going down with Amy Schumer where she seemed to indicate on Twitter that she was ending Inside Amy Schumer, however today she "clarified" that it's just on hiatus while she's on tour. I'm not following what's been happening but something to do with one of the writers on the show making some pretty dumb comments regarding rape and Amy standing against the comments. Then it came out from her that the show was over. And now it's not?
Anyway, thought I would post it here. No idea why Amy would choose to announce the show's end during this debacle, or why she suddenly realized today that the show isn't over, just on hiatus.

It felt like someone who became a household name and wanted to try new things but was stuck doing a low-rated CC show. Nothing wrong with that, but if you're going to do more, take a Louie/Curb-style break for a year or more until you want to do it.

I love Dark Matter. I'm not a fan at all of sci-fi, but I'm digging this one a lot. It has a lot of cool ideas and plot twists. I'm losing interest on Killjoys but it's enjoyable too.

"Van Helsing", a show no one has ever heard of or cared about, has been renewed for a second season of 13 episodes.
