 Re: Predict Suicide Squad's RT Score I think it's because DC has yet to admit that this superhero stuff is all pretty ridiculous. They still make "serious superhero" films, and that puts critics in a frame of mind where they compare it to serious movies. Marvel accepts that this is all fun and silly, and so they get graded better because critics view them in a "fun entertainment" way.

Perhaps there really is something to the theory that DC is getting treated much more harshly by critics than Marvel films?
BvS remains a good, even great at times film for the first 2/3 of the running time. Perhaps Suicide Squad will also be good despite what critics say. I'll stick with DC films which try to be more ambitious than glorified Saturday morning cartoons (Marvel).

Re: Predict Suicide Squad's RT Score Wonder Woman should be the first DC movie to benefit from goodwill since most critics enjoyed the character in Batman v Superman. It is also the first major female-led superhero film by a female director, which will scratch an itch for a lot of people and engender a positive vibe.

Re: Predict Suicide Squad's RT Score I don't know if it's DC vs Marvel, but the prototype for well reviewed superhero films seems to be going light and irreverent. I liked both Fantastic Four and Batman vs Superman so I have some hopes for Suicide Squad

Re: Predict Suicide Squad's RT Score Despite coming out in a different marketplace, with lots of critics taking BATMAN & ROBIN-releated shots, BATMAN BEGINS has a 7.7 average, which puts it higher than CIVIL WAR.
C'mon, guys. It's not "critical bias." Nolan's films got a fair shake. DC films rate lower right now because they aren't very good.
