Obvious Fudge(s)
Let's get it out of the way 1) I dislike corporate Disney 2) unnecessary sequels 3) Alice in Wonderland
so.
Take a look at this weekend.
Losing 1,385 theatres which was 73.7% of its total, Alice only falls 56.8% and has its PTA rise to $3743 from $2282 in its 5th weekend.
If that was not obvious enough, its overestimation this weekend (prior PTA was $4200) was basically the same as how much Dory was overestimated.
I guess it doesn't matter because Alice ain't reaching $100m anyway, but it's a joke practice that needs to be highlighted.

Re: Obvious Fudge(s)
I'll field this one! For drive-in movie theaters, when studios play double features (Dory/Alice being a common one in the US right now) the studio reports the same number twice for both. If the double feature got 600k then both films are reported as receiving 600k and the actual math is sorted out by the studio. In all likelihood half of Alice's gross last weekend was from Dory double features.
Disney has nothing to gain by pushing Alice by itself, it's an enormous writeoff for their company. Just easier to report numbers this way.

Re: Obvious Fudge(s)
I thought they reported half of the gross from drive-ins for each movie?
