Post Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
This was probably one of the most inspirational episodes ever. Though we know everything will fall to shit next episode.

So what will happen? Predictions

1. Tommen will die at the hands of The Mountain
2. Cersei will go "burn them all" and Jaime will kill her.
3. Daenerys will reach Westeros and take the newly vacant Iron Throne
4. Beric will resurrect Catelyn, or something else significant will happen in the Riverlands. The Lannisters and Brienne aren't just going to leave unscathed, and I doubt they would bring Beric back just to kill Lem. Either they resurrect Catelyn or something else of equal magnitude will happen.
5. Littlefinger and the Knights of the Vale will betray the Starks and take Winterfell
6. I guess Arya will return to Westeros, no idea where she will actually go.
7. Oh, and R+L=J of course.

I think Tryells and Tommen will die. Cersei will go batshit burn most of the city. The Freys will be slaughtered by someone. Jon will be called king of the North. Bran will see the rest of the tower of Joy. The wall will fall and the the army of the dead will begin marching south.

I don't think all the Tyrells will die. Loras probably and Olenna or Margaery but not both! I hope none of them die!

Though if our predictions are correct, Lena Headey has one last chance at an Emmy for the role of Cersei.

Well I meant the three that are still in Kings Landing. The Queen of Thornes left. I think Mace and his kids will get it.

That would be so fricking sad. Margaery better live!

Oh, and we have to go to Dorne at some point right? They wouldn't just abandon Ellaria and the Sand Snakes forever. Indir

I thought it was a fantastic, fantastic episode - and the pure scope of it was unlike anything I've ever seen on TV before.

Stunning episode. It was cinematic. Better than most movies.

Yeah this is still second to The Door for me, but definitely great. And it managed to unexpected because we are at the point where we expect the rug to be pulled out from under the Starks, and it wasn't last night.

The Door had a better climax, but this was no doubt the best episode this year, and perhaps the best of all, I just can't really remember individual episodes. Definitely one of the best things to ever come from TV.

I liked Hardhome the best due to the unpredictability, but this has to be second. Stunningly brutal.

I honestly don't think this was better than Blackwater in terms of battle episodes. I'm actually not that big a fan of the big battle episodes in general. I prefer the political stuff. The best stretch of episodes IMO is from The Rains of Castamere all the way to the end of Season 4 and then Hardhome to Mother's Mercy.

I'm torn as to whether this is better than Blackwater, but it's definitely better than The Watchers on the Wall for me.

Probably my favorite episode, though I'll be rewatching the entire series again after next week's finale.

And while the Battle of the Bastards was excellent, Dany and her dragons laying siege to the masters and reclaiming Meereen was my favorite scene in the whole series. And I wasn't expecting the Yara and Theon to arrive there so fast! I'm not this far along in the books yet, but I figured that'd be apart of next season.

The Watchers on the Wall is not very good I agree!

I also liked the Meereen battle more.

Loved the battle sequences. The hand to hand combat was filmed so spectacularly. This was Braveheart stuff and even beyond that. Fantastic. If next week's finale is exciting and cliffhangerish I would hope they do that double feature IMAX thing they did a couple years ago. I didn't go to that one since I wasn't into the show then but I'd be up for it now.

Also, the core cast is getting bumped to 500k, so good for them.

I don't like hearing that the final two seasons may be only 8 episodes.

7 and then 6, actually. I wish they would wrap it up in one season, or do a 3 hour movie out of the last 3 episodes.

Great episode and incredible set pieces. It would be nice to have any fantasy battle ever end without a Cavalry Ex Machina though...

I don't think it was a deus ex machina because it could easily be assumed that Littlefinger was coming. It wasn't out of left field or anything.

Afterall, remember what Littlefinger said to Sansa: "Look to my coming, at first light, on the fifth day. At dawn, look to the East".

So we knew it would happen.

You could say the same about Blackwater and The Battle of the Wall. We knew Littlefinger was recruiting Tyrells and we knew Davos had read the Night's Watch letter.

I also guess that I wanted to see Jon and Sansa figure this one out on their own. Now Littlefinger is pretty much Lord of Winterfell in the Crown's eye and there's no ramifications for his betrayal of Sansa last year.

Awesome battle but I agree that Ex Machina is becoming tiresome

The bigger issue with the battle I thought was the lack of any truly major losses on the Stark side. Someone other than Wun-Wun and Rickon should have died. Any idiot would have known going into the episode that they would die.
