Episode 9 will be 60 minutes, while the finale comes in at 69 minutes (new record for the series).

The penultimate episode is called The Battle of Bastards and I assume that's when Ramsay will die.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
They really shouldn't have titled it that way.
And episode 10 is the Winds of Winter.... i take it the wall will tumble then. Hopefully Dany finally sets sail for Westeros in that episode also.

They're not doing Lady Stoneheart. There's no story reason to at this point.

She could play a big part in the end game.

Or she could play no part in the endgame. Word is that Beric is back next episode. If Beric still leads the Brotherhood without Banners, Thoros didn't resurrect Catelyn.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
You would think GRRM has greater plans for Stoneheart or else she's been of little use other than shock value.
And to be honest unless she does have a bigger role in the end game - there is no role for her in the show.
But the recent episode (with Lem and the BWB hanging innocents) - it does indeed pave the way for a vengeance filled LS.
Let's wait and see.

I don't see how her threatening to hang Brienne if she doesn't kill Jaime isn't a major plot development.

Maybe Beric is channeling Stoneheart's spirit and cross dresses to look like her

If the creators are just fucking with us (which they totally are if its not Stoneheart), I'll probably cry.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
About 500 pages into A Dance with Dragons, and so far more has happened in Dorne in one chapter than has happened to Jon, Daenerys and Tyrion in the first 499 pages. Bran and Davos and Theon are also more interesting.
This is definitely not as good as A Feast for Crows.

And still Dorne is as pointless and remote as usual.

Looks like Beric is replacing Stoneheart. I am guessing the BWB will take out the Freys and help Jon. I am glad Arya is going back to Westros. Hopefully, she will reunite with Jon.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
So we're finally getting to the Battle of Meereen that was supposed to happen at the end of book 5 lol.
The creators really like to torture the fans, lol. The Cleganebowl can't happen now, and Lady Stoneheart, while not impossible, looks less likely now. Beric being alive means he didn't sacrifice himself for Catelyn. Seems unlikely they'll find her body at this point. But if they're just going to have Beric capture and hang Brienne, I don't see why they had to cut such a fan favorite plotline.

Literally so much Catelyn name dropping! Brienne and Jaime discuss her, Jaime and Edmure discuss her, Blackfish and Brienne discuss her.
Fuck the creators!

So no Stoneheart, no Cleganebowl. I'm fine with both. I like Beric and we've had enough trial by combats.
