The Forger
Well, I liked it. It's a subtle, slow-paced story of redemption with a side plot of theft. Starring a weathered but never uncharismatic John Travolta, with a humorous performance by Christopher Plummer and a strong but restrained performance by a talented Tye Sheridan. It's not Oscar-level, but it is a solid crime film that explores making up for lost time with a script that is enjoyable too. There is one scene early on where John Travolta looks awkward walking through a nightclub dance floor, which brought a smile to my face. Its ending is neat but not powerful enough to really blow you away. All in all, it is a bit slow, but still a pleasure to watch.

Re: The Forger (2015) Pleasantly surprised by this. It tops 2 of Travolta's other recent movies I saw recently, Criminal Activities and I Am Wrath. The Forger is a well made, well acted film, that has a very nice tone to it and is simply nothing less than a good watch.
