Yeah, Rickon has been irrelevant, he has just been with Bran until they left in like Season 3.

Poor wolf.

Wow, Doran Martell, Trystane Martell, Areo Hotah, Roose Bolton, Walda Bolton, Balon Greyjoy, Olly, Alliser Thorne, Othell Yarwick and Bowen Marsh all dead in three episodes. I remember when the execution of Ned and the Red Wedding were actual shockers. Literally always on my guard for death at this point.

A few moments confused me in tonight's episode. The significance of the (well-choreographed) fight memory/vision, for example, beyond Bran seeing his father as a young man.
This entire subplot is for book fans to still feel like they are ahead of tv viewers, even though what we are expecting has never been officially revealed.

If you really wanna know....

Spoiler: show
That was probably Jon Snow's birth.

I enjoyed the episode, but the killing is out of hand, even by Game of Thrones standard.

Anyone thinks the part where Waif corrected Arya about her having 3 brothers and one sister rather than 4 brothers foreshadows her trying to assasinate Jon Snow? There were theories a years and a half ago where their reunion won't be happy at all because the man with no face was going to assign her a contract that she won't be happy at all.

Out of those only Doran and Roose feel significant, though.

So glad that fucker Ser Alliser is finally gone.

I think it actually played into the fight scene we saw at the Tower of Joy.

Spoiler: show
If it really does support R+L=J (Rhaegar + Lyanna = Jon) then that would make Jon her cousin, not her half-brother.

I feel the show is just cleaning up characters as they don't want to bother with whatever George's plans are with them. Which could speed up things and make the show more dynamic. They already "deleted" lots of characters from the books and now that they aren't confined by what happens in the books and have a free say on everything they can do anything and not get much hate from book fans.

I actually think its more to do with her next encounter with Jon. Also add to the fact was that Waif asked Arya about her shitlist. She named Cersei, Walder Frey, and the Mountain. Waif indulged her again if there was anyone else but Arya avoided the question. She did have Melissandre on her list when she had Gendry kidnapped by the Brotherhood without banners. I think there would be a confrontation between Melissandre and Arya with Jon involved since the Red Woman did save his life

Jon and Sansa are my new favorite power couple on Game of Thrones. It's too bad Jon has to leave the Wall, as its suddenly become the most fun place in King's Landing. They even went a whole episode without anybody dying up there. And this is haven for Brienne. She has someone to protect, someone to hate for killing Renley and a guy named Giantsbane is attracted to her.

Its too bad the funny Dothraki had to die, but also refreshing to see a Dany storyline resolved quickly.

Great episode, I loved the end with Dany walking out of the fire. I loved seeing Jon and Sansa reunion. I was worried they screw with us there. Poor Osha, I hate Ramsey even more.

Daenerys felt very redundant to me. Still good, but Astapor, season 1 finale and even the fighting pits of Meereen last season were more satisfying to me.

Still great episode otherwise. Though Natalia Tens must be disappointed they brought her back just to die.

Great episode. The show is moving the story along which GRRM could learn a few lessons from.

They are obviously making Ramsay Into a total monster so the pay off will be even greater when Jon (or Sansa) slaughters him and takes back Winterfell.

Sansa/Jon reunion was :tears: cool that they're moving the story along pretty quickly.

From the moment all the Stark kids get scattered by the end of A Game of Thrones (first book) - we've wanted to see them come back together at some point. We've obviously lost Rob - but seeing them all so close is a great thing - with Jon/Sansa meeting being the highlight and a sure sign that on the show, the story lines are converging.

Another thing i liked better on the show than the books is how Ramsay sends the letter. It has far more impact now that he holds Rikon captive and wants Sansa back (after all that he did to her). And there is more cause for Jon to go and fight him and take Winterfell. In the books - the letter was the catalyst for Jon getting killed but always felt forced and out of place.

Also there are clear parrellels between Jon and Dany's (Ice and Fire) immediate stories at this point in time.

Im thinking....

The wildlings will support Jon to take Winterfell (Kill Ramsay and his men).
The Dothraki will support Dany to take Mereen (kill the Sons of the Harpy).

Hopefully we see Dany's invasion of Westeros before the end of the season.

I want to see Dany in some Joan of Arc style armor or something. She needs to look a bit more menacing now that she has the Dothraki as her minions. I'm tired of the silk dresses. Her moment though was one of the best of the series I thought. When 9PM rolled around I was like Nooooo. Another week to wait...

So Cersei will make the Tyrells the ones to go after the high sparrow and then they will end up as the bad guys.

Cersei wins. finally

About 260 pgs. into A Feast for Crows, and I like it better than A Clash of Kings, tbh. Might be lowered expectations, but the only chapters I've found particularly boring are the prologue and the Damphair chapters. I enjoy Cersei, Brienne, Arya, Sansa, Jaime, Samwell, Dorne, even Victarion and Asha are interesting enough.

I liked the Greyjoy chapters more than the Dorne ones I recall.

The Greyjoy ones are very repetitive. They are so far just each character (Aeron, Asha abd Victarion) learning about the Kingsmoot. Hopefully the actual Kingsmoot will happen soon.
