Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
So pretty much this episode just caught us up except for three pretty big things the death of the Martels, not sure how George is handling this but makes me wonder if Young Griff will kill them off. Brienne saving Sansa, wasn't surprised there. And finally the Red Woman being like 300 years old. I wasn't surprised about that, there have been rumors for years that she was pretty ancient .

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Wow. Thoughts.
Premiere mostly wraps up threads from the end of last season. The Wall stuff tells us nothing new, though the reveal of Melisandre's true form was interesting.
Sansa finally makes an intelligent decision and goes with Brienne. I got choked up when they were saying their vows.
I really felt for Cersei in her scenes. Maybe we'll end up liking her after this season? Would be one of the biggest redemptions of a hated villain in like anything ever.
Deaths of Trust and and Doran are necessary for the ensuing obvious war against the Martells, and Dorne is beautiful to look at, but the scenes left me cold.
It was cool to see Daenerys spar with the Khal, but at this point, I'm ready to see her take the Iron Throne, and I'm tired of these detours.
I'm interested in the girl Arya meets. Will be interesting to see how she overcomes her blindness.

Premiere was good after 20 minutes when it got to the interesting characters.
I still don't care or know the names of anyone not named Cersei, Brienne, Daenerys, Sansa, Arya, Margery, Tyrien, Samwell, Gilly or Jamie.
I hope Jon is actually dead.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
I salivate for the next episode.
I loved every bit. We have many people to hate like those females from Dorn and the real traitors nights watch. It was fantastic seeing Brianne kick more ass. The only has made a step toward redemption. Loved seeing the red witches true form. There's gonna be a lot of people getting revenge this season.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Great premiere! Everything was just awesome, except for Dorne.... I could not care any less even if I tried.
Can we skip to the part where Cersei goes kunt mode and sends the mointain to kill the high sparrow? We are cheering for Cersei... Who saw that coming?

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Dorne is really hurt by the fact none of the characters beyond Ellaria have had any development, and even she became less interesting after season 4.

Can we get a sitcom spinoff with these new Dothraki? I was cracking up during all their scenes.

Great first episode. There was actually some pace in it. Something I've missed the last 3 seasons. Might become the best season yet.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Great episode Jon Snow is reborn (probably either Jon Stark and later Jon Targereyn). three characters killed Balon was no real shock, but we didn't know (but suspected) that Euron was behind it. Roose was really quick, Ramsey is just ruthless and crazy. I don't see this season ending well for him.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
His return was pretty predictable (part of me wishes he just stayed dead, idk Jon was never my fave) but I'm glad it didn't take all season for that to happen 'cause we all know it was... Good episode though.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Glad there was no Dorne or Daenerys in this episode. Dumb plotlines. I like Daenerys, but this Dothraki thing is just killing time till she can attack Westeros.

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
The issue now is explaining why they can't bring Myrcella back to life. Or Tywin. Or Joffrey. Or any body with all the parts intact

Re: "Game of Thrones" Season 6
Well, we've seen someone (Beric Dondarrion) revived before by a Red Priest in either Season 3 or 4. There was hardly a ceremony or ritual in the scene, though, with just a prayer being said. And Beric's come back from death multiple times, forgetting/missing part of who he was each time I believe.

I don't like the whole bringing back from the dead business. Not in the books, not in the show.
