 The Martian will win Best Picture It's what makes sense.
The highest rated Metacritic film (Spotlight) only won Best Picture 3 out of the last 21 years.
No film with at RT percentage of less than 90% (Mad Max, Revenant) have won since 05.
Creed and TFA are not the type of film that appeals to the Academy. Winner: The Martian.

Re: The Martian will win Best Picture I took that to mean that he was giving examples of this year's films with over 90%. In that case, The Revenant would be wrong. Either way, one is wrong.

Well, my main point was cancelling out Spotlight, and figured others are long shots too. The Martian seems to have the biggest reach outside of Spotlight, which sensibly is the critic front-runner at the moment.

Re: The Martian will win Best Picture The Martian was actually my pick based on Sir Ridley Scott doing well with the critics. Then George Miller happened and it took all the wind out of The Martian's sails.
