 Star Wars VII second week poll So SW7 opens in the same spot as AVATAR six years ago.
Avatar had a $77m opening weekend and a $137m opening week
followed by a $75m second weekend and a $146m second week (still the record*)
What can we expect from SW7's 2nd week?
*in the meantime broken by JW with $149.6m

Re: Star Wars VII second week poll However the only issue is the 2nd weekend is not a typical weekend, its one of the must lucrative weekends of the entire year.
I am personally seeing this not setting the opening weekend record and being a bit more backloaded film as its the holidays.
