He's be perfect for Euron. They could age him up.

Though Howland Reed would be interesting.

I just see Euron involved in some major action sequences. And Ian is too old to realistically do those without cgi involved. Howland Reed would be cool I agree.

Indeed. And Howland Reed would hopefully mean a major flashback sequence (or better yet EPISODE) that we've all been waiting for.

Max Von Sydow has been cast as the Three Eye Raven. I think he is a great choice.

I enjoyed the duck out of this season. I fail to see how it is so inferior to Season 4.

I rank
Season 3
Season 4
Season 5
Season 1
Season 2

No one seriously believed he'd be dead for good, right?

He will be resurrected most likely. I am guessing he will lead an army against the Boltons to rally the North and Westeros against the White Walkers.

I don't think so. I would think his storyline will follow what ever is in Winds of Winter

looks like we can forget getting the next book before season 6 hell may not even get in 2016. I have given up on Martin is a fat lazy old man who has lost it as a writer. He has no excuse at this point when writers like King write two books a year and other fantasy writers (J.K. Rowling, and Terry Goodkind) were able to finish their series. Maybe he has extreme writers block or gotten lazy, but I don't think he will ever finish the series. Well at least we will know how the stories ends from the show.

Yup. Martin is a retard. I said it that if he has time for appearing at every single fucking fan convention or wherever he has no excuse for not delivering Winds already. Obviously fame >>>>>> everything else. Pathetic.

in defense of GRRM, King took 22 years to finish main story of The Dark Tower and that was not even as long as this is.

but once the TV show began, GRRM should have been smarter. And it's really not just about the fans too.

The TV show has now essentially become fan fiction because of his inability to write efficiently. And that does effect his legacy as people will associate his series with the TV show more with the books and so whatever comes of the show will reflect on him even if he's not directly involved (it's not really news to anyone that the quality of the show dropped when it wasn't adapting as much from the book as it could). So this idea that this only hurts book readers is false. He's hurting himself by letting his series be adapted in a way that could damage its reputation.

He did take a big gap in the Dark Tower, but he finished it once he finished the 4th book, pretty quickly. I just don't think he knew where to take that series and just went on to other priorities. However, it isn't like Martin is putting out major works like King was doing during that time period.

GRRM should have finished the series by now. His first mistake was splitting book 4 into two resulting in 2 books that were weaker than the first 3 (though Dance is perhaps not far off Clash in quality). Then since the show began and took off - he's been busy being a celebrity (I guess you can't fault him) but he also wasted alot of time with frivolous pursuits online and elsewhere.

The show takes over from here. And this has been expected for some time but there was a bit of hope Winds would drop before season 6 but obviously that has now been crushed.
